Courtallam has changed a lot over the years.
Courtallam has changed a lot over the years. In our younger days, we went by cycle to Old Courtallam, where the water used to fall from a height, and massage our body. Now they have cut some sort of steps, so it is less forceful.
All the falls have become much crowded. Five Falls, one could bathe in all of them, but now they have divided that into men/women sections.
The good thing is that the there are people bathing even at night, and the place is safe for everyone.
No dams above, the water has medicinal quality, and is full of life. Still, something has changed, it seems, that once the rains stop, the falls quickly run dry.
