Nothing at all, the pictures posted on the site are not a true likeness of the place, we left the place the following day as we were unable to sleep in the bed provided.
The beding was badly stained, it was disgusting and Booking.com have totally refused to reimburse use even though I provided pictures of this. The locals have informed me that these rooms are used for couples enjoying them selfves ?? I am sure you will know what I am saying. The breakfast provided is at a local cafe in the piazza about a 10mins walk away from the room provided. The TV was broken a few days earlier by the guest that had booked the room. The owner had messaged us 10pm the day before to inform me of this and gave us the option to cancel, I reported this to booking.com and it was then made available the following morning.. this was a total disaster and a rip off.
We had to find a local Hotel called Villa Masseria Marini lovely Hotel and they looked after us very well, at a further cost of €780 €uros.
What ever you do is think before you book through Booking.com
Palazzo Rosenthal lies on the green slopes of Mount Vesuvius, overlooking the Gulf of Naples, and Capri and Ischia Islands. The rooms are spacious and offer a balcony and a plasma-screen TV.
Just 5 minutes from the archaeological site, this hotel takes its name from the ruins of an ancient Pompeian villa located on the same street.

The hotel was within walking distance of the railway station and busstop, plus only a few hundred metres from the entrance of the Pompei ruins. The bus took us to the entrance of the Vesuvius, ideal for our destination, the walk to the top. (no toilets there, so go at the station/bus stop)
Located next to the Pompei Santuario Station, Hotel Palma is just a short stroll away from Pompeii’s ancient ruins. Enjoy views of Mount Vesuvius from its panoramic terrace.

Location - the location is excellent, adjacent to the train station, which is generally quite quiet, but overlooking a major junction which gets busy during daylight hours. We were visiting the historic ruins and its about a 10 minute walk through town to the entry.
Room - our room (212) was lovely can comfortable. The shower is good but the cubicle is very small, though quite typical for Italian properties. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the functions we needed. My only issue was that our room had rally slow wifi, outside the room it was excellent, but just that room seemed to be a dead spot, so if you are looking for a room with fast wifi you should ask for a different one.
Breakfast - the breakfast was excellent, a nice if basic range of options but more than adequate for what we needed.
Hotel Maiuri Pompei is in the heart of Pompeii and offers free parking, both on site and by the archaeological site.

Our stay at Hotel Maiuri was very pleasant. The room was lovely and clean. We booked a taxi to the ruins as we had a tour booked. The hotel manager drove us and showed us all the hi lights of Pompeii which was very kind. The ruins were amazing by the way. There was a restaurant opposite which served great food for dinner.
Hotel Calypso is sure to leave you with happy memories. Set 10 minutes' stroll from the station and the ruins, this small hotel is renowned for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
