We loved our one night here. The room was spacious, fresh and comfortable. It was a step above other similar places we’ve stayed on other trips to Japan. The staff were really lovely, especially the ladies serving us our Japanese multi course dinner. They did their best to explain the food to us. It was a huge meal! The view from the dining room was so pretty so make sure you get there before dark. I enjoyed my post dinner onsen immensely. If you are uncomfortable with going to the onsen, there is a pleasant bath and shower room in your room with leafy views on the hillside. But I was glad I braved the onsen. We arrived and left the hotel in a taxi (following a day tour in a taxi). It would be difficult on foot with luggage.

Great traditional lifestyle experience in a beautiful valley. Shino san is an amazing host who really makes you feel welcome at his home. Can't recommend it enough unless you are bothered by things that come with old countryside living like cold rooms and manual flushing toilets but to me those were just part of the experience.

We were very happy with the hotel. We had both the breakfast and dinner at the hotel and they were well handled with good food and we were satisfied. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bath was good and clean. The hotel is very close to some of the sights and we very much enjoyed staying there.

This tiny house is the perfect quiet romantic get away. We stayed for 2 nights, but I wished it had been longer. The hosts are very kind and the check-in was very efficient. The house is just a picture perfect place to stay. We enjoyed the balcony, the kitchen, the spacious bathroom and the living room. The cherry on top was the bedroom in the loft. For a tiny house it had plenty of space. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything you need. We also used the gas-bbq, which made a very special evening.
