Everything about hotel bambou was lovely - the location is amazing, on the beach right beside the boat arrival at anse mitan. We were there 8 days and, although the format was similar, the food for dinner was different every day. The staff were lovely and, when our rusty French failed us, would speak some English to help us along!

Everything went down great! Germaine is a super sweet host and she was very accommodating. The apartment itself had a great view over the patio with palms and everything! What I (coming from a rather cold country) enjoyed, in particular, were two separate AC units for the main bedroom and the living area. They cooled the rooms down in notime.

Les Trois-Islets is a great location in Martinique, with many restaurants and boutiques around and a large shopping center 20mn away. The beach Anse Mitan is small and I don't recommend to go therefor more than half a day. You need a car to travel all around to different beaches such as Pointe Marin, Les salines, Anse d'Arlet.

while we spent most of our time at our hotel next door, we walked through the area and had drinks; plenty of bars and restaurants as well as shops; there is even a golf course not even 5 minutes away; would be a great place for a week or two

A lovely area, but to visit other parts of the island you have to drive back to the main road which takes about 20 minutes.
You need a car.
Plenty of places to eat.
If self-catering it is advisable to shop at the large Carrefour at Ducos.
The beaches are clean, take your snorkelling equipment with you as there are loads of fish.
If you need GLUTEN FREE products take your own. Did not find any gluten free bread on the Island!!!

You need to be careful where exactly you book the accommodation and check if there is a beach at a walking distance from your house. To stay in Martinique car is a must to go anywhere however it is more comfortable to be nearby at least one of the beaches.
I definitely recommend visiting one of the beach restaurants and try delicious creole cuisine. Prices are mostly the same everywhere. Beaches are mostly empty, only on Sundays, local people take families and friends and spend a day on the beach.

I found that trois-ilets is the ideal vacation spot, My accommodation was close to everything within walking distance. Many eating places, our favorite was havana cafe, the food and service was good. Nice beaches within walking distance and safe for the children. Many stores in the area with prices comparable if not better in the capital, The marina again within walking distance where one can get sea tours from several operators there. At the marina you can get the ferry to fort de france it operates on sked. At the entrance to the marina there is a shop you must visit. It is MOMO Scream.....heavenly sobert/ice cream truly delicious. Also not too far away there is the sugar cane museum and Josephine Bonaparte museum.

This hotel is set on beautiful grounds, with it's own private beach, and easy access to other beaches in the area. It's also very convenient for the ferry to Fort de France. There's a nice shopping area just next to the hotel with a number of restaurants. Breakfast is quite nice, and the breakfast room has wonderful views.
I actually got sick during the visit, but the hotel staff was extremely helpful, getting me a doctor and preparing special foods for me. I thank them very much for that.
The view is excellent, we enjoyed sitting on our terrace and drinking coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening . The room is spacious and we used the kitchen a lot ! The staff are very friendly - Matthias was awesome . We enjoyed taking the ferry from the beach to different locations , very convenient location and the beach is wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!
Huge inside balcony with ocean view. Washing machine and large fridge. Efficient AC units in both bedrooms. Short walk to the beach, where coral reef can be experienced while snorkeling. Next to the beach is a ferry stop (frequent connection to Fort de France) and a restaurant which is open all day long. Parking next to the property.
The property was perfectly located for discovering Martinique. There was a grocery store nearby, as well as plenty of beaches.
It was only an hour from fort-de-france and 1.5 hours from the north of the island.
Having a hot tub to come back to was a great way to relax after a day of hiking.
Melanie was also great!
The bonus cooking area built by the owner off of the room was fantastic, location to ferry and area great. The room was good.they give you towels to use. Water pressure was good for shower.
The owners are very nice people and explain everything when you get there! This is a sort of condo room in a hotel.
Nice room in a hotel complex at the beach with use of the pool, small kitchenette outside, easy to prepare your own breakfast, parking right on site and great location with lots of restaurants and shops around. Host is very nice helpful, tries to meet all your needs.
The most lovely hotel. Perfect location right in the middle of restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Rooms were large and very comfortable, we even had a balcony with a drying rack. Pool was superb, plenty of pool chairs and there’s a swim up bar.
long chairs
also too noisy with the club program, the microphone, the staff inviting to much to do the program.. not find any hour of single peace there… always have to go outside the hotel finally and it’s not good not to be able to enjoy the hotel too
The hotel location is fabulous (on the beach, close to restaurants and shops). The bar by the pool with view over the Fort-de-France bay is fantastic. Breakfast is great. The rooms on the beach are great.
Very well located, close walk to the beach, bakery, restaurants and small grocery store. Open air living quarters and enclosed air conditioned bedrooms. Fairly well equipped kitchen
Plus: The location was ideal. 300 meters from the beach, restaurants, and ferry.
Poor: very steep incline to the hotel, not suitable for disabled or people with health problems.
Very nice clean house with all kitchen gear. Dolce coffee machine. Nice jacuzzi and many chairs. Friendly helpfull owners. Easy acces to le trois ilets en all the nice beaches.
Great location with easy access to the Fort de France ferry service, good food and drinks and beautiful scenery. The pool and spa are very nice, and so is the staff!
