Wrong: The property is not easily connected to the airport. The restaurant needs work. The location is better suited for local business not tourists
Alp de Veenen Hotel is located on the water, in a quiet and central location.

Not an early person so did not use the breakfast facilities, however my friends did and were quite satisfied. The location was lovely, the bars and restaurants in the area were fantastic.

Amstelveen is a lovely wee place but being only 20 mins by car from Amsterdam centre you’ll want to go there. Amstelveen has local shops and amenities needed but there’s not a great deal to do in the area and not within walking distance.

I will write about my Room , I booked and paid for a studio XXL . They gave me room no. 013 . I think the room 013 is only XL and not XXL . Kindly check with them and your files . If they gave me only studio XL ,instead of XXL ,then I want a refund for the extra price I paid .
Thank you.

The hotel was conveniently located near a tram station. It was an easy ride into town. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The neighborhood is quiet. About a 10 minute walk down the street is a strip mall with some restaurants. We tried the kabob place while waiting to check in. It wasn't too bad. There is also a coffeeshop/gelato shop located there. That' the best part of the mall.

Very convenient location close to the airport with bus transportation right outside the property gates. Amstelveen looked like a lovely little town. Unfortunately we arrived late at night and had to leave first thing in the morning so did not have the opportunity to check out the area, restaurants, and night life.

You hardly see the next recommendation: walk up to the Kalfjeslaan and turn right, walking eastward (look it up on Google maps).
Walk all the way to the Amstel river and where you hit the river turn right (or have a cup of coffee and a portion "bitterballen" before you go on at the Kleine Kalfje =Small Calf), walk along the river and enjoy this typically Dutch landscape. Turn right at Machineweg MP until you hit Amstelveen again. This is a wonderful walk with sun or drizzle, not that much when it is raining.
Fantastic location for what I was looking for - short train then tram journey to the neighbourhood with a short walk to the hotel. I did Amsterdamse Bos parkrun on the Saturday morning and it was only 1km walk to there which was brilliant (and all flat). Neighbourhood lovely and safe with a large Albert Hijns supermarket a short walk away. Bed was super comfy, though quite soft (which was fine for me). Hotel room was spacious and nicely designed. Lots of plug sockets and very clean. Coffee machine and safe available.
The staff, despite having suffered a tragedy the day before, were extremely attentive and friendly and apologetic for the chaos arising from the tragedy. If I hadn't been told, I would not have known. The breakfast was lovely!
I'd like to give an extra special mention to Noor who went out of his way to help us during our stay, despite not normally being based at Amstelveen. The area, although outside of Amsterdam, was lovely and quiet with public transport close by.
Exceptional stay in an exceptional place with an exceptional host. There is nothing not to like about B&B In de Schulp. The communication with the host, Caroline is exceptional. The place is modern, clean, and spacious and the location is great. Easy to reach with all public transport. Ask Caroline for suggestions on how to optimize your transport. Will definitely be back here should I travel to Amsterdam again in the future.
It is well located with a short walk to the tram which takes maybe 20 minutes max to reach the city centre. Public transport is exceptional in Amsterdam. Hotel was more like an apartment for us. We didn't eat on site as we were on the move all the time. Comfortable clean accommodation and pretty quiet so no late night or early morning disruption. We had stayed before and it was a no brainer to return.
The bar and the people working at the bar and the hotel were excellent:) Very delicious local beer of different kinds. The room has new balcony door and windows. Room was clean. Breakfast was great, great variety of fruits and cereal and breads and spreads. The neighborhood was quite at night but was very lively in the morning. I enjoyed my 10-15 min walk to the bus station.
The room was a big size, the bathroom was excellent - great size, great fittings and the shower was probably the best I've had in a hotel. Free parking. Very close to public transport and easy to navigate to get to Amsterdam (for English only speaking traveller). Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent stay
I stay here on a regular bases due to the great service, friendly staff, good location and the facilities provided in the room. The hotel is well positioned close to the 300 bus stop which gets you quickly to Schiphol airport and the number 5 tram which gets you into the centre of Amsterdam.
The hotel is full of charm and the owners are super nice and very helpful. The location is perfect with many attractions at walking distance. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended just know there are steep stairs to get to the rooms.
The location was fantastic. If you want to enjoy calm and serenity sitting by a water body amidst nature this is the perfect place for you. It is also well connected with the airport. Given that staying in Amsterdam central is so expensive I would love to come back here again in future.
Nice and friendly staff, check-in & check-out without any problems. Nice and cosy camp houses, interior of the one we had is like a hotel room. Really close to the airport, about 20 minutes taxi ride to the center of Amsterdam, or about 30-45 minutes by public transport.
Very brown cafe restaurant dancing on the first floor. Maybe a bit noisy but I did really like the atmosphere. Very close to the forest Amsterdamse bos, two bakerys next to the hotel. Free parking in the street. It was great for my purpose.Good value for money!
Close to the trams, Amstel Park and Amsterdam forest. I hired a well maintained bike from the hotel to ride the forest. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean with a great kitchen. It was very quiet. Bathroom was a joy. Wifi was good.
The room was perfect with a large, comfortable bed and plenty of living area. The bathroom and washroom were immaculate. The gym in the hotel is very well equipped and easy to access. For Amsterdam, the hotel also offers excellent value for money.
I liked very much the coffee machine in the room. Also, everything is new. The oriental decoration in the room is gorgeous. There is a parking, easy to access. And is very close to Amsterdam. I intend to stay here when coming back to Amsterdam
Warm welcome by hotel staff. Kind and helpful. They were able to make arrangements for late checkout after our request. I would definitely recommend Cityden up Amsterdam south to those who are looking for hotel apartment for their stay.
Location is not in the center, but close to tram station "Kronberg". I asked to give the cleanest room, and they did. It is a budget hotel, I really like the part they provide place to eat the breakfast if you bring your own
Hotel was lovely, rooms clean, bed comfortable and good price. Only thing was it's a bit outside city but tram just down the road and taxis weren't too expensive.
the size of the room is really huge ( in comparison to other hotels in Netherlands) with nice Balcony, parking is free. the Hotel surrounding is beautiful
location wise, despite not situated in the central Amsterdam, it’s convenient enough to get to the central from the tram stop 2 mins walk from the hotel.
