Great location, great rooms and lovely welcoming atmosphere! We spent alot of time with Bamdev planning our trekking route (we had no idea what to do for the trekking so it was so helpful to sit down and plan with the hotel owner). We were given the best trekking guide, Bishnu - ask for Bishnu if you are going trekking! He took us to ABC and Mardi Himal Base Camp, we had the best time ever and the trek definitely made our Nepal trip!

Pokhara is a charming and peaceful city, with nice bars, restaurants, and shops. It's much cleaner, than Kathmandu and is a nice relaxing place. The air is also cleaner and more humid. During my stay, the haze blocked the mountain views, but locals told me that the skies are usually clearer in October-November. Also, Pokhara is a starting point for many popular trekking routes, such as ABC, and is very convenient for last-minute trekking plans. For example, I did a 5-day track to Mardi Himal base camp, which was not planned, but a local company helped me to arrange everything and I also bought the missing equipment on the spot. Needless to say, the trekking was a magical experience. Pokhara is worth visiting once in Nepal.

Pokhara suffers from Forest Fires in April/May.
Pokhara suffers from Forest Fires in April/May. The sky is grey and filled with smog. Visibility is very poor and none of the surrounding mountains could be seen. Also the airport remains closed due to these weather conditions. Travel time on road between Kathmandu and Pokhara is almost 8 hours one way due to road projects.
One should travel later in the year when the visibility improves and the airport is open all day.

Sarangkot at sunrise was the highlight. The food was great.
Sarangkot at sunrise was the highlight. The food was great. It was disappointing to see so much trash around the lakeside. I am surprised YouTubers did not mention that point. We were glad we went there. We flew on Buddha Air from Kathmandu. On the day of our return back to Kathmandu, it was foggy and the flights were cancelled. We had stayed at Hotel Middle Path. I called them and they immediately sent the driver back to drive us to Kathmandu. Never have we had that type of service in all our travels.

Pl plan to go to Pokhara via Flight and not via road from kathmandu The roads are under construction and it would give your back a lot of work. Pokhara is nice and 2 day trip would complete most of the places there
What a beautifully done property. Right in the corner of the Lakeside street, Hotel Barahi is one of the finest hotels I’ve stayed in. Amazing and welcoming staff, beautiful grand rooms with modern furniture, amazing breakfast spread and a huge property with a nice pool at the center. I was travelling solo to Nepal and had the greatest of time and hospitality at this hotel. Everyone was welcoming and supportive of my needs. Location is bang on, everything is at walking distance. Really loved it, would come here again whenever in Pokhara.
The best value hotel we stayed in in Nepal. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff.
Our room on the back of the hotel was nice and quiet.
We enjoyed the classical music playing in the public areas, giving a classy relaxed contrast to the busy noisy dirty city.
Very walkable, just off the main lakeside streets.
When we arrived, the staff was having a staff meeting, a bit of a rare site in hotels in this part of the world.
AC was good and quiet.
Breakfast was good, pretty typical for a nice hotel in Nepal.
I stayed at Hotel Snowland this week and had an absolutely amazing experience. The staff took care of me from the moment I arrived at the hotel. The location of the hotel is near the Phewa Lake (just at Lakeside) which made roaming around Lakeside easy and convenient even during night time.
To my surprise, they also have two restaurants, Juice bar and a cafe. The cafe remains open 24/7.
I definitely recommend this place for convenience and comfort. Will continue staying here whenever I’m in Pokhara.
I stayed in Karuna for one month, I really loved it. I stayed already before in Pokhara for two years in many different hotels and apartments, but honestly Karuna hotel is the best place I have ever stayed!!! Probably one of the reasons is the place is owned by a half nepali/western couple, so it's really nicely organised and clean. Their stuff is super friendly and helpful and it's the first time I really got 24hour hot shower. Thank you so much for the stay, I'll be back
Very pleasant stay in Pokhara!
Extremely welcoming family that will take care of you and help you with all our needs.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location, well located close to the lakeside and to many restaurants and shops, and set back just enough to be quiet and calm.
Very big room with beautiful view and a huge balcony from where you can enjoy some incredible views. The room was clean with hot shower and access to very good food.
Will be back again very soon!
The lady at reception was amazing, could not do enough to help in true Nepalese style. Just a fantastic person. The location is perfect for exploring Lakeside plus a 15 minute walk to the tourist bus station so super handy. It is opposite a lovely park and from here you can nearly walk all along the lake front to the other end of the city. Would recommend an upgrade to a room with a balcony and it was a great perk especially for drying clothes when caught in the rain!
Hotel Lakeshore has the cleanest and most comfortable bed I've slept in on my entire trip in Nepal. Location is great walkable to all lakeside shops and restaurants. The entire staff was wonderful but I have to mention Sanjog Adhikari the operations manager. The guy does it all airport transfers, hiking info and permits, arranging taxis, to room service with a smile and contagious upbeat attitude. He was definitely a highlight on my trip. Thank you!
The view was from my room was magical. Going to pokhara and staying in a lakeview room with a scenic view from balcony what can be better than this. The staffs were very Polite and helpful . I had Nepali Khana which seems to be the best one I have ever had. If you are someone who loves nature and enjoy sitting in balcony chilling then this can be the best choice of hotel . Excellent overall. I look forward to stay there again and again.
Sweet dreams hotel is the place to stay in Pokhara if you want clean, comfortable rooms for a good price and with an amazing view over Phewa Lake! The location is really nice, close to the main street in Lakeside with many restaurants and bars, 2 minutes away from the Movie Garden. The staff is super nice and welcoming, and will help you with everything (booking bus tickets, treks...). They also provide very tasty food.
They gave me a really nice room with a view! Location is great - short walking distance to the main street in Lakeside.
It is a family-run hotel that feels more like a nice home. Breakfast are home-cooked and you have to option to eat in the balcony of the room for a superb view of the lake and mountains.
It’s in a very center prime location. A footstep away from many local restaurants and pubs. Lake is a brisk walk away. The hotel owner was kind enough to pick us up from the New Pokhara International airport which is a bit far from Lakeside. Staffs friendly and cooperative.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and good staff & owner. The Hotel rudrakshay is 2 minute walking distance to Fewa Lake and also many jalko restaurants are few step walking distance to this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting to Pokhara, Nepal
Not only is Hotel Karuna exceptionally clean and modern (I also love their sustainability focus), but their owner and staff are just lovely. They are sweet, helpful and made me feel so welcome, making this a gem of a property. My best stay in Nepal!
Nice hotel with a very helpful owner, a few steps from the lakeside. Tranquil place amidst all the hustle and bustle of the streetvendors, cafe's and resto's. Nice view over the lake from the balcony. Recommended!
Great location. Best value for money hotel I’ve seen in all Nepal, not just Pokhara. Lovely room with air con and very clean. Lovely helpful staff. It was a pleasure to stay. Wish it could have been longer!
Great view of the mountains and Pokhara, especially from the rooftop
Great to relax after a trek, it is outside the hustle and bustle of Lakeside and food is nice
