Excellent room including impressive new bathroom. Heating and insulation of room was good considering a cold morning with frost outside (did not realise until I went outside). Bed was comfortable, shower was hot and good water pressure. Room serviced every day if I wanted it. Bottles of water provided. Nothing to seriously complain about.

Breakfast was not included. We were looking for a last minute, centrally placed, inexpensive stop and the motel exceeded what we expected.
Far more spacious than we anticipated, we were not disturbed by any external noise and the location for walking to breakfast and dinner was superb.

Annette is just lovely. A beautiful farm setting that’s only five mins (or less) drive into town but super peaceful. My six year old actually just wanted to stay here most of the time rather than go out and explore :)

Loved the small rural townships of Gore, Mataura and...
Loved the small rural townships of Gore, Mataura and Balclutha. Very historical buildings and lots of lovely home gardens. But the biggest gems are the spectacular green hills and pastures of the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed seeing the sheep and lambs and cows. A beautiful part of NZ. Brydone is also very central for day trips to other parts of Southland and Otago. The Aeroplane Museum in Gore was well worth a visit.
