The staff were super friendly and helpful. The views were incredible, the food was the best we've had in the Philippines and the location was perfect for diving/snorkelling with dugongs. There's a private pier that the dugong operator (dugong dive center) picks you up from.
It is out the way from everything else but scooters are cheap to hire (and brought directly to the Riverhouse).
If you like wildlife, it's nice for that too. We saw plenty of birds, lizards and a palawan stink badger!
Lastly, hot water/pressure was fine. Would highly recommend. I'd love to go back one day.

If you come only for shipwrecks diving, Coron is definitely the place - but I was not impressed by the coral reefs and biodiversity in general. Consider Raja Ampat as alternative destination if you are not obsessed with shipwrecks. Coron town itself is a little ugly and dirty town but there are plenty of very good restaurants (owned unfortunately mainly by Europenas/Australians) where the food and service is excellent and absolutely surprising. Unfortunately, those are also the places where you find all and "only" the tourists. Coron is an experience - not a lot of culture, not a lot of sightseeing, but it's a gateway to beautiful waters. The hopping-island tours are terrible! They try to fit 20-25 people per boat - try to organize your private boat, it is absolutely worth the money! We enjoyed the day and the service provided.

Lovely area. The town is super charming and chilled.
The Islands around are amazing and it worth a visit.
Unfortunately the tours they offered are all a bit Rushy, not enough time to chill and enjoy each of the stops.

You should be physically fit before you go to Coron because there is a lot of hiking and climbing, but it is all worth it. The biew is spectacular and the experience is great. Fro the hotel staff, to the boats man and tour guide that we had. Thank you Coron. When you go there try to space out your activities. Like one day destination trips the next day rest

If you love nature and diving - this is the place to be.
If you love nature and diving - this is the place to be. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever dived at - truly breathtaking
It’s nice if you rent a bike but it is also safe and easy to walk. Best place to dive was Siete Pecados and the 7-Stop-Island Hopping tour. Food was okay, you can eat anywhere without suffering food poisoning. But go easy on the food on the boat tour, not sure if everything was fresh…

Beautiful island with much to explore and quite reasonable prices.
The place is not overcrowded and has even parts of the island where you can have the whole beach to yourself.
The day boat trip through lagoons , lakes and cave was the highlight .
As a recommendation i wouldn't take the 18hour ferry again from Manila , just fly, even if it seems more expensive, you will save time and be comfortable on the beach rather than a ferry boat

The tours of the surrounding islands and interesting areas...
The tours of the surrounding islands and interesting areas are great, good snorkelling, crystal clear water. The town itself is pretty average, restaurants are OK at best, while some are outright terrible. Nothing to do in the town so don't get sunburnt like we did on the first day out (own goal, that one)! A couple of days are plenty here, then go exploring elsewhere, or make sure you book a hotel with a pool so you can enjoy a couple of days lounging if that's your thing, as the beaches are tiny and you have to travel a ways to get there.
stunning view from the hotel (panoramic view, cause hotel is up in the mountain), BUT you dont need to worry about the transportation to town (they have free shuttle to the center and back). Restaurant deserves all the applauses, cause the food is the best in all town, do dont waste your time in searching better places :) staff is helpfull and welcoming :) also, the pool is great plus, cause sometimes the tours to islands are cancelled because of weather conditions, so you could spend great time near pool and have a massage ;)
I love my stay at Kalis View Point because of their friendly and accommodating staff plus the free flowing brewed coffee is exceptional as well. Kalis View Point is highly recommended, its a place like home where comfort and relaxation is present after a tiring island tours. The place is within Coron Town Proper it means, it is very accessible to nearby restaurants and party hubs. Thanks Kalis View Point. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😍
The staff are very accommodating. This is one of the things that I loved when I stayed here. They make sure that they attend to my questions or needs , and offer help in booking tours or hotel - airport pick up. The hotel also has a service pick up in Coron town. The breakfast is also very good. Wifi is fast. I will definitely recommend anyone to stay here, also this will be my choice when I go back to Coron.
The hotel design and structure are beautiful and relaxing. The pool is clean, size is just enough. The location is good, walking distance from Resto and Bars. Our room is very spacious with lightning conducive for sleeping. Foods are delish! The staff is incredibly helpful and adorable, especially Elijah and Jessie. Overall, Corta Del Mar Hotel is highly recommended for those who wants to stay at Coron.
Beautiful hotel in the middle of the nature, all the staff are super nice/helpful & the location was perfect for us to avoid the crowds (10 min tricycle from Coron Proper Town). Nice pool, very good restaurant open all day and good breakfast.
PS : bring earplugs if you dont want to ear the roosters ! They are quite noisy very early morning but that’s part of the charm of being is the countryside 😆
Amazing staff - Ian, Ef, Bernard, Chris, Kim everyone made sure we had a great stay in Coron town and in Palawan. From organizing private tours, to getting our laundry done, to recommending places to eat in town, to transportation… I can’t say enough good things about how seamless it all was. Happy hour was a big plus with beautiful sunsets. Breakfast inclusión was great! highly recommend.
Remote island, felt very private. Beautiful beach with coral reef right in front of the property. Great staff. Place is better than photos show. Place of heaven. You can find nothing but beautiful scenario. The food was exceptional, three times a day plus snack in the afternoon. We also enjoyed the wreck scuba diving. We loved monkeys being around.
Zenvea's roofdeck had a spectacular view of Mt Tapyas and the Coron Island otherwise known as the sleeping Giant. Loved the food at their in house restaurant, we liked their signature Lamayo Pasta. Staff were extra helpful and kind. Needless to say the hotel was charming and bed was super comfy. Would definitely recommend.
Cosy, clean room. Location is great in a quiet part of town (other than the cockerels, but good luck trying to escape their dawn chorus in Coron). Reggie was super helpful and his restaurant recommendations were the best (and cheapest) food we had in the town. Culum Calenderia was our favourite.
Unparalled location and service. 10mins kayak away from twin lagoon. Rooms are perfect for relaxing and the lagoon which the houseboats are in is just perfect. Would never think of booking anywhere else if back in Coron or Palawan. Worth every penny.
Helpful hotel staff in the middle of Coron town, opposite a quaint coffee place and super near the nice food places. Hotel staff did not hesitate to help arrange laundry and airport shuttle services. Everything in the room is super clean.
Bet and her family were very supportive with me, Bet and her daughter helped me to set up the excursions in the town and also the tour to do Island hopping. A nice family. Coron beaches and Island around are so amazing!!
Nice pool, good food, friendly staff. Coron island was last destination of our trip, and I’m glad that we had chosen this hotel. Highly recommend to anyone who wants relax and unwind:)
Thank you!
I love coming back to this place! The staff are super friendly, thoughtful and very accommodating. The place is very spacious and beautiful, definitely the best place to stay in Coron.
The swimming pool, breakfast, the entrance... This hotel is top!! The staff were very helpful and kind. Definitely the best hotel in Coron Proper town.
