The hostess was really sweet and nice even though we showed up at almost 11pm. She only speaks Portuguese but communication was OK nevertheless.
The room itself is big enough and the private bathroom spacious enough. The town is small and quiet and allows for a good night sleep.
We also had a nice breakfast at the small bar next door!

The house is very old and picturesque, restored as the photos show, very clean, with an insulated roof and other functional restorations.
- Good area to fool around and walk amidst the surrounding forest, with a nearby water dam reservoir. Just respect the signs with "private property" written.
- The warm and genuine hospitality of the house's owner, who, at an impressive 79 years old, manages the place alone and complains less than many young people, displaying a lot of energy and positivity and makes you feel at home during stay.
- While some guests have mentioned barking dogs in the area as something bad, we found the noise to be only momentary in the late evening and did not hinder our night's sleep. In fact, we found the occasional barking as something helpful as it could alert for any unusual activity around, at the middle of the night, giving us a sense of security. If you have young kids with trouble falling asleep, maybe that's another story.
- If you have problems with Mosquitoes, like any other country house, you need to start to keep the bedroom door early closed during the night. Although I haven't had any problems with it, there's "bio" insect killer and a fan at bedroom which is perfect to effectively keep any insects away during sleep.
