We only spent one night here during our journey along the Rota Vicentina. The location is very convenient for those hiking this trail. Although you walk a bit out of town, you save some distance the next day. The accommodation is in a rustic style, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The large common area with a kitchen is well-equipped. Communication with the owner went smoothly; he is very helpful and friendly.

Small town in an ideal location to explore the beaches and coastline of western algarve. Not too overrun by tourists like places like Sagres, still feels like a charming Portugese small town. Has large supermarkets too and a market for convenience. Vila Do Bispo is a nice place to stay for a few days and a great base for touring the local beaches. The only downside to our stay was that it was very quiet during the day and evenings when we went with very few restaurants or bars to grab a quick drink. We ate at Eira Do Mel which was very tasty and if you like vegetarian food, try Pisco.MelowersUnited Kingdom

Our room in the top floor was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Breakfast was individually prepared for every room. Parking space was always available on the street. The location is optimal for both going swimming to the beaches at the south coast and visiting the much more impressive west coast. Upon that the region around Vila do Bispo is less touristic and more authentic than for example around Albufeira. I would definitely come again!

The breakfast was excellent but the host was the most amazing woman. She let me check in quite early when I was sick from a gluten-poisoning and made sure there was gluten-free bread waiting for me in the morning. Highly recommend this hotel.
