I liked the cleanliness of the rooms and the very nice lady at the reception who was helpful. We came with two bicycles which we were able to securely store in the building. The building might look old on the outside, but the inside was nicely renovated. It was very spacious.

We really enjoyed the whole hotel building, its cleanliness and communication skills and approach by the employees at the reception and in the hotel restaurant. Great variety of food. The whole stay in the hotel and inside pools with warm water were simply great! We will definitely return back soon :-)

Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy...
Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy Esztergom in Hungary and it is very plain in comparison. Being in Slovakia it is a cheaper place to stay or to shop. The centre of the town is very quiet in the evenings with just some dimly lit bars and few places serving food. This part of Slovakia is very run down with many buildings abandoned and in advanced decay. The lanes around the town are despoiled by rampant fly tipping on an industeial scale.

Sturovo is a good value (€) base from which to explore...
Sturovo is a good value (€) base from which to explore Esztergom. We ended up eating and drinking in Sturovo: drinks on the river at Komp Caffee for the views, good beer at Green Pub, dinner at Casablanca or El Camino. Nice pedestrianised area with lots of other choices! Plus the Vadas thermal swimming pools!

There also are many restaurants, shops etc right next to this place. The room was quite big and it had a table, two chairs and fridge. There also was possibility to make your own meals. Also plates, forks etc. I am not sure if there was an air conditioning. Did not really need it and did not ask for it but you may want to find out if you stay here in the summer.JussiFinland

Several windows and a balcony door provided for great fresh air at night, and it was quiet at night. Large bathroom. Staff were friendly, and Wifi was very good. The hotel is well located close to the Danube and the lower end of the main walking boulevard. Good value for money.

Rooms to the frontside provide a wonderful overview of the walkway, both during daytime and the evening. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. In mine there was also a mini-kitchen. We rented an apartment with a fireplace, the staff was very kind to us and provided everything we needed. In the yard there is a good playground with a trampoline, table tennis, and a swing, which made our son very happy. We also used the barbecue area and the fireplace in the room. Thank you for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Shturovo.
