We loved the decor and the fact that it was a stone’s throw to the beach. It was also very clean.

This hotel is grossly over-rated.. our room booked had few windows.. no ability to boil water.. parking was hugely inconvenient.. why should anyone hand over car keys so the hotel staff could move your vehicles around. Never again.. the best bit about this hotel was that Good Stuff was very close nearby for a proper breakfast & leaving after two nights was a blessing. Don't even think about it!

The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept.
The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Beautiful scenery! The one major drawback back is that the restrooms were closed all except the one by the pier and there are not enough of them along the beach.

Great place!
Great place! It's away from the city hussle, lots of places to go out and eat and drink at all times. The beach is perfect, also lots of volleyball fields for everyone to come and play. With a bike you can go all the way up to Santa Monica in a reasonable time.

Hermosa Beach is a great place for a 4 night stay if you enjoy a clean sandy beach, plentiful restaurants and bars, close proximity to nearby towns and beaches. We had a fabulous dinner at MB Post Restaurant in Manhattan Beach which is only about 10 min Lyft ride. Super easy to get around on foot or by bike. Parking can be a challenge, so make sure you have parking available at your hotel or your rental. We traveled in October during COVID year, so was probably less crowded than usual. Can imagine much more traffic and parking challenges during peak season. Reservations for diner are highly recommended on weekends.

Hermosa beach has some of the best beach volleyball on earth. The strand has shopping and restaurants and bike rentals. It's one of my favorite cities on earth. Very outdoorsy city with lots of people walking, running, biking and just enjoying nature. Lots of stop signs so be patient driving around.
I loved how close it was to the beach & Hermosa pier. We met other family for lunch in Redondo & was so easy to just walk down the strand. We loved the historic feel of the place. Also it was laid back & easy to communicate with the hotel staff. Very close to so many restaurants. We were there for family in Torrance as well as Universal Studios, it was the best location.
We stayed at this hotel the second time, a day longer, because we love the whole set-up, the location, the smart room plan, the easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and of course the great walking/running/biking road with unlimited options. Also, the ease with which you can take your continental breakfast to your room to enjoy the balcony view is great.
The pictures online looked very nice and of course, its quite new and in downtown Hermosa - all the ingredients for what promised to be a nice stay. Parking onsite is convenient and at $20/night, cheaper than many hotels. 2 block walk to the Pier and to the beach - very nice location. The room was clean.
Amazing location, could see ocean and beach from the room. On the pier. Staff really nice and friendly. Breakfast options were nice (toast with jam/peanut butter, eggs, pancakes, coffee)
In reception they have earplugs and sunscreen left by previous tenants in case you run out of yours.
It's the perfect small hotel for a stay. Good beds, clean bathroom, great location. It has a nice TV and small fridge, desk for work, coffee maker, and even an iron. Free WiFi internet and complementary small breakfast. I think it has all you need for a great stay in Hermosa Beach,
half a mile from the beach, very quiet at night, big room, well ventilated corridor with separate shortcut stairs to car park, great breakfast which included individual fresh milk cartons for guests, everyone wore masks indoors, hotel had a shop selling drinks and snacks
Breakfast was good and the rooms are big and have lots of facilities and separate areas.
Robes are nice and the fire was lovely.
Hotel and room was clean.
Breakfast was good (no hot options if anyone prefers cooked breakfast).
Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and the area was well kept. Room was clean and fresh.
Night clerk help us by allowing us to park in parking lot in a safe and unobstructed manner.
Loved the fabulous interiors of the room.
Check in at 2am was really easy and stress free so thank you Night Staff!
The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in!
The location is great: ten minutes from the beach but not “beachy”. Close to grocery stores and amenities. The room and general areas were hip and spotless.
Solid central location right at Hermosa beach. The west facing rooms have a direct view of the ocean. You can't really ask for it being any more affordable.
Our room was perfect for a family -- a bedroom w/ 2 queen beds and a full living room/kitchenette w/ a big bathroom. And steps from the beach and the pier.
