I was attending Beachlife Festival and it was across the street, perfect! Nice big room, on the street side, could not hear the music from the beach at all when I needed rest. The lobby was really animated because of the Festival which was fun. The buffet at Sol was pretty great, lots of options, but not included.

Checking into our hotel was simple and seamless. The person who checked us in was very polite and patient. A welcome from him eased the anxiety a bit. We were worried the stay at the hotel would not be pleasant since the hotel is on a busy street. We stayed in the back and we did not hear any traffic the entire stay.
Parking was great; however, the lot is small so depending on the amount of guest and the time that someone comes back to the hotel may be an issue. We did not have an issue with parking at all and we arrived back to the hotel at midnight most nights.
Offering an outdoor pool and a fitness centre, this Redondo Beach hotel features a free expansive daily hot breakfast buffet. All guest rooms include a fully-equipped modern kitchen.
This hotel is less than 15 minutes’ drive from Los Angeles International Airport and 2 minutes’ drive to Redondo Beach. It features a heated outdoor pool.

Redondo Beach is a nice community.
Redondo Beach is a nice community.
We went to a restaurant near the pier and had a beautiful sunset view. The restaurant, Shrimp Lover, was not fancy and was basically Thai with seafood, had a great beach/pier view. My companion had wanted to go to the restaurant on the pier but we could not park close enough (she walks slowly with a cane due to pain/disability). The parking lot was about 100 feet from Shrimp Lover, with no stairs necessary.
I would explore more next time, but this visit was for family bereavement issues.

We were staying one night to avoid returning home in the dark. Besides sleeping we spent very little time at the property since we were visiting for Thanksgiving. The room was a comfortable size, but somewhat drab. The plumbing worked, the temperature control was easy to use and effective. We were quite satisfied. We were comfortable leaving our car for the afternoon and evening.

This is one of the lesser-known gems of Los Angeles.
This is one of the lesser-known gems of Los Angeles. It's more laid-back than Santa Monica or Venice, and it's more upscale than Long Beach. This hotel was perfectly positioned to take advantage of everything that the area offered. Five minute drive to the beautiful beach. (I wouldn't recommend walking; it's LA after all.)
When you get to the beach, you'll find a cement bike/pedestrian walkway that continues for miles and miles along the shoreline. Take a walk on it or rent a bike! You can, for example, walk or bike a short two miles to the Redondo Beach pier, home of interesting restaurants.
That same drive puts you in the heart of "Hollywood Riviera" village, a collection of shops and restaurants that's well worth exploring.
All in all, this is the part of LA that Angelenos hope you never find.

Redondo Beach is a very special city for me and my family.
Redondo Beach is a very special city for me and my family. My husband lived there for 45 years, he raised all his children and grandchildren, it is one of the most attractive cities, family-oriented, excellent schools, quality of life, tranquility, better landscapes, great walks, food, wine, day and night life, museums , shopping walks, very well maintained by the City. Wide beaches, the unforgettable sunsets of the Pacific, sports people, riding bicycles, enjoying long walks with the family, on skates or skateboards. Totally recommendable, the beach areas have a high level of people, businesses, attractions wherever you look at it.

I love the variety of restaurants and shops in Redondo Beach. There are dozens of choices for patio dining. It’s very walkable and there are plenty of rental bikes and scooters should your feet tire. The farmer’s market is a must see. And the sunsets shouldn’t be missed.
Further more Was accused of making noise and it was and is not true... And then all-night long that night had 3 elephants walking overhead all night long could not sleep.. and some employee had the balls to call my room and complain about noise and did nothing about the noise overhead for endless hours while trying to rest before a hundred mile drive home... Was not able to sleep and it cost me 110 dollars... That is not the intention of a hotel/motel/inn...
I would like a refund for the second night..
The Hotel Manager was super nice and helpful, caring about every need and request. The room was comfortable and not noisy (compared to the position), parking area visible and wide, the swimming pool area is small but nice, and we were surprised the water was heated up, so it was like a hot tub, very relaxing. Breakfast was good with eggs and waffles and more. We also liked the area, Hermosa Beach is only 10 minutes away and it is nicer than Santa Monica!
One of the reasons that the motel is so nice is that the people and town of Redondo Beach and the beach cities are so nice and accommodating. That makes for a pleasant, overall trip. There is a Starbucks and Chick Fillet within easy walking distance (and probably other convenient eateries, etc.) The beach cities are crowded with traffic. It might not be a bad idea to learn the transit system.
A friendly welcome from Bobby, stylish clean apartment with a good ocean view short walk from the pier and only 1 block away from a really good wholefood store which we loved - safe friendly neighbourhood - our daughters in their 20s stayed here while we were at a conference 10 miles down the coast - would recommend
Everything is good with this little hotel, it's nice and clean with free parking under the building.
The breakfast is ok and it's a 10 min walk from the pier with all the restaurants and bars a beautiful beach and laundry and stores.
30 min drive to LAX.
Stays here every time i visit L.A.
Wonderful view of the ocean and the seals in the harbor. The Baleen restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, and very accommodating for allergies. The hotel connects to a nice trail along the beach, and we were able to rent eBikes to ride on that trail.
Friendly, family owned business. Location, free parking. Bathroom is in a bedroom, so if you have company over, you have to go through the bedroom, but really it's a hotel, thinking it was an apartment comples at somepoint. OVerall, was a super good experience.
rooms were nice!
breakfast and happy hour were the absolute best. the staff was so friendly and the food was excellent!!
we used the basketball court, the pool and the laundry room! it was a great hotel!
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and microwave and refrigerator was very convenient. Parking was easy and there was plenty of it on site.
Super Loud. Muscle cars in front of sleeping room. Highway on the other side. Very suffocating experience. Hated this Hotel. Breakfast 1 Star out of 5.
