It was a very nice quiet residential neighborhood on the mountain overlooking Charlotte Amalie. I liked that we had a private casita. Having a harbor view was also a nice bonus. Being able to walk to the local bar/restaurant was a plus as driving was unnerving for us.

Got no channels but couldn't stay in no A/C only bedroom with very hard bed old dressers yo put your clothes in that were hard to open and clothes..The view was also from this room with no A/C. It was a great place to use as a home base to sleep and shower. The restaurant was very good. It’s a quaint place and has a island hotel vibe. It was safe and quiet. I brought my three teen boys, 17,16,14- and they enjoyed themselves going to the beach all day and relaxing at night. Sibs restaurant is a 5 minute walk and great food and atmosphere. Secret Harbor was great for snorkeling and swimming. Very nice people there. Have cash, the only way to get around the island is by taxi. They charge per person.

The hotel is old, outdated and needs repair. There are no telephones in the rooms and no elevators. It is not a place for anyone with a disability. How can this hotel charge the rate that it does when nothing has been done to upgrade the hotel is YEARS?!! It is not worth the money. Please note that the staff are wonderful and the food is good.

Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, allowing us to cook our breakfasts and several dinners for our group of five. Might be nice to add a few extra cups, bowls and plates for when five are staying in the 2BR. Restaurant and bar up the hill is a great option if you don't want to venture into town. Host was very responsive whenever we reached out with a question.
