Very comfortable, well equipped apartment in central Buxton. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the supermarket, shopping centre and many of Buxton’s famous attractions. We appreciated having secure parking for our car. Communication with the owners was prompt and helpful. Personal touches such as the welcome message, packets of biscuits and milk for a cuppa made it all the more special. We highly recommend 2 Brocklehurst Cottages as somewhere to stay when visiting Buxton.

It was spotlessly clean, very well furnished with no clutter but everything you would need was available. Owner messaged with any info we might need or was happy if we needed to ask anything. We were a family of four, all adults (just!) and a dog. The garden is well fenced off so no worries about the dog escaping which is a big thing we have to consider when going away. The view from the front of the house is lovely too.

It is a beautifully decorated cottage with everything you need and some things you hadn’t thought of. While we always take our own fleeces to cover beds and sofas it was particularly welcoming for our well behaved dog who very much appreciated the extra dog towels after walk in the rain. We all enjoyed an evening around the cosy fire in front of a Netflix series.

After a day's walking the hot tub was so nice too we used it every day (take some robes with you if you want to use it). It had everything we needed and the town of Buxton was not far away, plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby and we used a local taxi service as we didn't want to drive. Would highly recommend.

When in your room you cannot hear the main road at all. Very clean, presentable, and delightful room. I love that your room is like a tiny cottage with its own parking spot and front door. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming on arrival and at breakfast the following day. It was great to hear some of the history of the site too.

Gaia lodge is beautiful, perfect place for our ‘Mini Moon’ Clean and tidy, the sheets and so thick and the pillows are really comfortable. The hot tub is secluded and makes the lodge what it is. Robes are provided. The site itself is small and secluded, very quiet so the perfect place to relax. It’s also dog friendly so meant we could take our little dog, Milo. The log burner in the living room is lovely and makes it lovely and cosy! Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
