What a nice change from tiny hotel rooms. We were able to spread out. Our unit was in a quiet shady section. All amenities (except towels) are provided. Good communication from staff.

Poland
The house was perfect for us. We had quite a short break (unfortunately) with 4 generations of the family (and a dog!) all meeting at the English seaside, having arrived from different parts of Europe. There was some trepidation about the age of the building and whether with children and a dog we would feel intimidated but it was homely while at the same time having all mod cons. The kitchen / dining area was the ideal room for such a family get-together and it is probably even better in the winter. The lack of parking was no problem for us as we only had one car, which we parked some distance away for the duration of the stay. We had all the attractions of Hastings Old Town at our doorstep and the plain by the Castle up the hill from the house ensured the canine family member also went home happy. The hosts were incredibly helpful and the artwork throughout the house is stunning (mostly the work of various members of the owners' family). We had the added bonus of carnival week and the Old Town Pram Race keeping us entertained under the living room window. Oh and don't forget Judges Bakery next door but one for the breakfast croissants! Just superb!!

The property made getting around the old town very easy and walkable. This 400 year old cottage had so much character and charm. The bedrooms were all a great size. The beds were all beautifully white and spotlessly clean. We had lovely towels provided as well. Please be mindful the cottage is around 400 years old so it is narrow in places and low ceilings and tight stairs, but so charming.YvonneFamily with young children

The added 'SeaView' was rather over egging the pudding. NorthRise is a cross between an AirBnb room and a B&B style property. No staff as such - access is via a key box system all mounted on front of house. Breakfast is continental style. Other than a Hot Tub & Sauna there were no other facilities. As frequent hotel users ( Over 70 nights a year ) I question the 4 star rating for a place with minimal facilities.
