The view made it one of the nicest places I ever stayed in...the house was spotless and the fire was lighting when we arrived on a wet day...the house was clean with everything we could need supplied. The children loved the place so much so our youngest didn't wanna leave. Dave and Kathleen set out instructions on how to use everything in the house making it an easy transition. Dave couldn't have been more helpful either thank you so much

Beautiful location at the head of the fjord. Great for exploring the area of Connemara. Very authentic cottage. Warm and cosy with plenty of hot water and a good shower. Useful additions of a washer and tumble dryer in the outside shed. Stunning view from the garden. Owner very helpful and responsive

The lodge is located by the Killary fjord (one of 3 fjords in Ireland). It was very beatiful! Room was very nice and clean, the breakfast was good (and not expensive) and the owner was very kind. It is very near the Connemara national park and Kylemore abbey.

We wanted to find a place off the beaten path and this was a wonderful find! They were able to get us into our room before check in time and took great care of us while we waited. There are several walking trails that depart from the hotel and take you through the beautiful countryside. There is a beautiful river and all sorts of activities to do in better, warmer weather. Even in the cold rain, with low clouds it was wonderful sitting by a fireplace looking out the window at the beautiful mountains.

Great charming place to stay in picturesque scenery. We particularly loved our spacious room, the extremely comfortable beds, the amazing food both at breakfast and dinner time, the beautiful old bar, the cosy lounge area with an open fire, the live music on Tuesday evening, the massage service and the attentive staff. Highly recommend staying at the Leenane Hotel if you are looking for a re-energising, feel-good holiday in a very special part of Ireland.
