A beautiful modern villa set in green and quiet neighborhood. We loved having access to filtered water to refill our bottles and a kettle to boil water. Ben and his wife are very warm and helpful hosts and Ben is very knowledgeable of the area.

The room was super cozy, comfy beds and a big balcony with a view of the garden. Staff was amazingly friendly. They have a big collection of international books which I loved. Drinking water is available. All in all incredible value for money. We were in fact sad to leave and looking forward to come back!

There is no AC, but pedestal fans are provided and sufficient. The estate itself is beautiful and green. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The setting was magical with spices growing all around and the sound of birds singing unique songs. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - they even booked our morning trek in Periyar Tiger Reserve for us. The spa was incredible as well - very relaxing massages! We also loved the food and I even had a cooking demonstration from the head chef. We loved everything about Amritara Shalimar and will definitely come and stay again next time we're in Kerala!
