Good destination to escape to the countryside, away from light pollution. You do have a better chance of seeing the northern lights here. The dinner and breakfast were both of a high standard.

The guesthouse is a charming old house in the beautiful countryside, close to hiking trails, as well as access to lava tube and ice cave tours. Our room upstairs had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed and nice bathroom with shower. The hosts were exceptionally gracious, told us interesting things about their family and the area, and fed us very, very well. It was a wonderful experience staying here!

Sammy is the most heartwarming host I've ever had. We were welcomed with soup at night and had an amazing traditional breakfast the next morning. The room was small but cosy, very comfortable and charming. We'd have loved to stay longer.

Sam is an exceptional host who put lots of efforts into the maintenance of his historical farmhouse to create its cozy museum-like look and feel. His hospitality stretches beyond the 'standard' service: in addition to room accommodation he serves home-made soup in the evening and rich breakfast in the morning. He bakes his own bread which is absolutely delicious. His life stories are interesting and entertaining as well as the multiple historical and cultural artefacts he collects and displays in the house.

This guesthouse was humble but very cozy, and the owner, Sæmi, was a super sweet guy, like an Icelandic Santa. He was very welcoming and we chatted a bit about Iceland. I could have stayed days in this house if i cane with family.

A very warm welcome with home made wafels from the owner. In the evening there was Icelandic soup, and the breakfast was the best of my whole stay in Iceland. All this was served on a big table with all the people who were staying in this cosy little house.
