a well appointed cottage, comfortable beds, great layout and shower! so peaceful just outside of the town of Carterton. While on the main road, well set back so it didn’t disturb us. Loved the friendly animals! Catherine was a great host, was able to be there when we arrived, but left us too it. we sat out on the deck in the sun for a few drinks both nights. it was so relaxing after busy days shopping in Featherston, Greytown and wine tours in Martinborough!

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay and we will definitely be back. So relaxing to be away from everything but also close enough to town to go do some sightseeing. I loved the decor and the bathroom as well.

The hosts were lovely, and so were their doggies. We really enjoyed the homey feel of the cottage and all we needed (plus more!) Was there. The eggs and home made bread were a lovely touch. Our dog also had a great time hanging around the properly and socializing with the other dogs. We will be back for sure.

Like other reviews have said, the cottages are close to town, yet just far enough off the main road that you feel the quiet of the countryside without being far away. The bed was great -- like Goldie Locks said, "Not too soft, not to hard." The kitchen had everything you need. Air conditioning (for the very warm afternoon) and heating (to take the morning chill from the cabin) were both excellent.

Enjoyed sitting outside listening to birdsong while we enjoyed the platter and wine. Was a good base from which to explore Wairarapa but wish we were able to book for longer to extend our stay. They also respect your privacy. The Cottage is bright, feels spacious and decorated beautifully. Everything you need has been thought of. The fire works so well and made our stay very cozy. Decorated beautifully, warm, cosy, food platter, wine, coffee, breakfast supplies, including all local produce. They really do a wonderful job.
