Set 1.5 km from the town of Koli, Kolin Lotus Cottages are located close to Lake Pielinen. These self-catering, semi-detached cottages have a children’s playground and BBQ facilities. It was much cosier than in the pictures and was spotlessly clean. This small resort functioned like a well oiled machine and the caretaker was on hand offering assistance/ taking conscientious care of ploughing the snow to aid our exit and entry to the property. It was very very cold when we visited and the snow was mounding up continuously, but there was firewood on tap and the sauna was wonderful. and the view/ position amongst the trees was just idyllic. The cabins are in the perfect location for visiting Koli national park; witnessing the crown snow load alone was worth the drive from Helsinki. For anyone doing the same be aware that driving in the snow can increase the predicted driving time by 1/3!

Kolin Lotus Superior se află în Kolinkylä, la 5,7 km de Parcul Naţional Koli, și oferă cazare cu aer condiționat, balcon și parcare privată gratuită. Great view, well cleaned and everything worked well. The contact person was easy to reach. It was super nice to swim in the lake after sauna. The pictures give a real picture of the house, extra plus for that.

Loma-Autio Apaja se află în Puumala și oferă o terasă și o zonă de plajă privată. Amazing place! Very clean, fully equipped and the nature around is stunning. There is a direct entrance to the lake as well. Very much recommended.

Lampiranta Log cabin se găsește în localitatea Hossa din regiunea Itä-Suomen și include un balcon și vedere la lac. This cabin was just great! Very clean and well hosted, nice quiet location with good access to mtb trails. Will definitely book again when going back to Hossa.

Lomatila Ollila Farm Stay se află în Kerimäki și pune la dispoziție vedere la lac, biciclete gratuite, o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și un bar. Rotating between sauna and swimming in the lake in perfect peaceful silence. After a good sleep an amazing home cooked breakfast helped start the day - and free roaming ducks and chickens really got you in the best possible mood. The landscape, comfort, food, staff, and peace really are unparalleled. On top of everything we even got to charge our car a bit during the night to help us reach our next destination. Without a doubt will be visiting again.

Offering a barbecue, Lake Cottage Jänisvaara is located in Kolinkylä, 11 km from Koli National Park. The accommodation features two saunas. Kolin tuoli-/maisemahissi is 8 km away. The view, the wooden sauna, the grill area, and the surrounding area. Koli National Park is a beautiful place to visit but for me, the view from the cottage was even better than the ones from the famous viewpoints in Koli. You have an inmense piece of land for yourself with direct access to a clean, clear, and calm Finnish lake. The real Finnish experience doesn't get any better than this. I hope I can come back to this place in the future. I can highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit this part of Finland.

Surrounded by nature, these cottages are just off Finnish National Road 6, a 15-minute drive from Kajaani. Each features free Wi-Fi, along with a private sauna, full kitchen and garden-view terrace. Clean & nice cabin with a good floorplan. Got also the permission to charge an electric car from the outdoor schuko socket which was nice, even though naturally very slow.

Set by Lake Vuotjärvi, these cottages have a private wood-fired sauna and include access to a jetty and rowing boat. Microwaves, stoves and tea/coffee facilities are standard features. Wonderful location. Everything was perfect. Even the lake water temperature was not so cold. For two days we enjoyed the sauna, the lake, the boat, the silence, the landscape... The house is functional and has good privacy. Mrs. Marketta is a very kind host. Good value for money.
