The property is rather a long walk from Sale town centre in the pleasant residential neighbourhood of Ashton-on-Mersey. I came from Manchester Piccadilly Station by taxi at a cost of almost £20. Later I found out that there was a good bus route, the 263, which I used on my return trip. For my purposes, the accommodation offered was perfect. Quiet, comfortable, with a pleasant view on to the garden. Everything I needed was provided and the hosts were friendly and helpful, yet discreet.

The location was great because it is next to Grotton Hall and is located through some gates behind a wall, away from the main road. It's also close to most amenities in Lydgate and everything such as pubs and supermarkets are easy to get to. Great for a hiking weekend too as the North Peak District isn't far away.

Located in Astley, Brook Meadow House, 4 bed house, Manchester is a recently renovated accommodation, 12 km from Trafford Centre and 15 km from The Lowry. Lovely modern property , in a quiet cul de sac with its own drive to park. It has an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge with all cooking facilities if you need them, all like new. It was ideal when staying with a dog as the garden is a safe enclosed space, so he could pop outside when he wanted . We stayed in to eat as it was so nice to just sit , eat and then watch a movie and do our own thing . Would be great for families as there are 3 big bedrooms set up, we only used one which has an ensuite and there is a family bathroom also.
