We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.

Howard the host made our stay very pleasant, there is nothing that he would not do to help us. I felt sorry for our friends that paid twice as much as us to stay at the resort and miss out experience that Howard was able to gave us.

Casa Seorak Bed and Breakfast er staðsett í Sokcho, í aðeins 2,1 km fjarlægð frá Mulchi-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með sjávarútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Mr. Juha is a great host. He welcomed us in good English and helped a lot in planning our hike in Seoraksan National Park. The breakfast is freshly prepared and brought to our room. We could choose from various options. We also appreciate his help in booking our taxi, but the casa is also very convenient to reach by public transport. Thank you Mr. Juha for our great stay, we highly appreciate your hospitality!

Forest of Color Pension er staðsett í 10 km fjarlægð frá Lordhills Golf and Resort. býður upp á beinan aðgang að skíðabrekkunum, sundlaug með útsýni og loftkæld gistirými með svölum og ókeypis WiFi. It’s a truly amazing place - very calm, between mountains and a river. The owners are fantastic - they care about everything and help with all queries. Everything was prepared beforehand for us. The apartment is very spacious, with lots of additional futons if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are lots of useful utensils for babies/children. The heating worked very well. The owner speaks English and gives tips for surroundings. Our appartement had its own barbecue booth and the owner prepared charcoal so we had a wonderful dinner. There is an indoor playground, trampoline, two wooden swings, bikes and toys for children. I can imagine the place is also gorgeous during the summer time - with a swimming pool and a very nice outdoor. Definitely recommend this to anyone searching for little country side in Korea.

Grace River House-Block B er staðsett í Hoengsong, 12 km frá Cheongwoo-golfklúbbnum og 16 km frá Oxfield CC. Boðið er upp á garð og loftkælingu. Perfect location with great vieuw on the river. Very comfortable house with large living and plenty balconies. The house was very clean and roomy. The host is very kind and does everything to make the stay easy and pleasurable.

Magenta í Donghae er staðsett 2,6 km frá Daejin-ströndinni og 2 km frá Donghae-aðalmarkaðnum. Boðið er upp á loftkæld gistirými með sjávarútsýni og ókeypis WiFi. Firstly, I stayed in the Martin room and the ocean view was magnificent. It was on the third floor and really clean. I liked that there was a cafe on the first floor. I think it was an excellent business idea. They had my favorite coffee “cold brew”. ❤️

Sisilli Pension er með garðútsýni og býður upp á gistirými með svölum, í um 24 km fjarlægð frá Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza. located in a very nice surroundings, beautiful garden, quiet en peaceful, but especially very nice hosts who were very kind to us and service oriented.
