On the edge of Rowen, one of the Conwy Valley's most delightful villages, the Tir y Coed is within the boundaries of the Snowdonia National Park. The far-reaching views from Rowen extend to the magnificent mountains beyond. The medieval walled town of Conwy is just 4 miles away, as is the coast. This was a great location for our two nights in Conwy. Our room was very comfortable; the bathroom had high-end conveniences that we weren't expecting. The gardens were absolutely beautiful; we wish we'd planned for some time to sit on the veranda and enjoy the birds and flowers. We had a flat tire on our rental car while we were in Anglesey an hour away. Sandra was so helpful in advising us while we rearranged our plans so we could pick up another rental. She even called a taxi for us to get to the train station. The breakfasts were delicious, perfectly cooked with generous portions -- a great way to start a full day of adventures.

You can play table tennis and darts at the holiday home. If you would like to discover the area, snorkelling, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and Georgian Country House -Panoramic Views -Sleeps 12 can arrange a bicycle rental service. Beautiful house, amazing views. There is plenty of space for a large family holiday. We all had a fantastic time, and we ranged in age from 20 to 83. Nothing was too much trouble. Anything we needed was sorted straight away, perfect hosts. Every detail has been thought of. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. We would definitely book again.

The country house is fitted with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a TV with streaming services, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a patio with mountain views. Guests can take in the ambience of the surroundings from an outdoor dining area or keep themselves warm by the fireplace on colder days. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance.

If you would like to discover the area, skiing, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and the country house can arrange a ski equipment rental service. Great host, fantastic flat in good location. It was perfect a cycling holiday. 10/10

Ty Derw Country House B&B is set within Vale of Clywd, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty sitting below Moel Famau Mountain, 10 minutes’ drive from Ruthin. It is set in 2 acres of beautiful walled gardens. My husband and I have traveled using Booking.com for over 10 years. This is the most extraordinary B&B we have stayed at yet! John and his wife converted their historic smithy/ stable into a well appointed, custom designed, cozy, comfortable B&B suite. Attention to detail extends beyond the craftsmanship of the kitchen and en suite bathroom to the lovely meats and cheeses which we found in the refrigerator. The inclusion of Welch cakes with jam and clotted cream was a special bonus. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. John told us about the 2 week window of Virginia Creeper red foliage and even drew us a detailed map using a scenic route to see one of the best examples less than an hour away! Location to walking trails as well as the historic towns of Ruthin, Chester and Llangollen was ideal. This B&B well deserves a 7 star rating or higher!!!

Located just 3 miles from Conwy, Glyn Isa Country House B&B and self catering Lodge is set in family home, dating from the 17th century, within 10 acres of private land and gardens. The village of Rowen is just 1 mile away and the property offers free parking. A perfect very stylish self-catering little cottage. Well equipped within very private grounds in the middle of the country side. Excellent location for daytrips and walks in North Wales. In the small village of Rowen 1 mile away there is also a very nice Pub. Highly recommended.

Penbedw Estate -Rural retreats, tennis offers beauty services and free private parking, and is within 20 km of Bodelwyddan Castle and 43 km of Chester Racecourse. The property has mountain and lake views, and is 45 km from Chester Zoo. When staying at the luxury tent, guests can use private entrance. Peaceful and quiet location with very friendly hosts who were on hand if we needed any help with anything. Clean and tidy plus it was nice and warm with the heater on. Couldn't fault the cabin at all.

It boasts exquisite dining, a cooked Welsh breakfast, and a distinctive spa. A wonderful stay at the Ruthin Hotel! A highlight of our holiday in the UK. The staff were particularly helpful And friendly. The grounds were Wonderful and we enjoyed strolling around after dinner. The ruins of the castle forming part of the hotel were amazing the it was lovely to read about the castles 800 Year history on the walls leading to the dining room. A great hotel, worth the visit!

Situated on the outskirts of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park, Maenan Abbey Hotel stands on the site of an original thirteenth-century Cistercian monastery.

Built as a gentleman's residence in 1850, the property features a magnificent galleried Victorian staircase and blazing winter log fire. Whilst maintaining its historic traditions, Maenan Abbey offers all modern hotel facilities. All 14 bedrooms are en suite and are decorated in a style sympathetic to the period of the building. Everything was great. The facilities are poor, but for us that added to the quaintness and originality of the location.
