I was really just in and out (quick trip to see the eclipse)...
I was really just in and out (quick trip to see the eclipse). This was a great hotel and one where a person, couple or family could have a mini vacation, with pool, good restaurants on-site, room service, etc. It's also well appointed for conferences (and one would assume for wedding receptions). The Steakhouse would be great for 'special' evenings and the Denny's is very good (service, food, prices) for families.

Did not see much of Oakville.
Did not see much of Oakville. Was just here for a couple of hockey games. We stayed in the Monte Carlo Inn on the south side near Ford Plant. Not a pleasant location as it was in an industrial area with large decrepit undeveloped industrial property beside us and nothing within walking distance.

We were at a conference during our stay so we didn't get to do much in Oakville. I used to live in Toronto and would visit Oakville frequently, especially downtown on the Lakeshore. I was amazed at all the buildings on Dundas! Next time I plan to visit downtown and some of the restaurants that I remember, if they are still there.

I got a refund about 3weeks after with so much unnecessary back and forth, but why would that happen in the first place after I paid for the room 2 weeks in advance. This the first time that I would pay for a hotel in advance and arrive with my family at the hotel to check-in only to be disappointed. The room is pre-paid for, it should be available.
