The property is very clean and well presented throughout. Room had everything I needed and more. Teatray was a different class and lots of toiletries in the bathroom. Clean white crisp towels and shower mat for inside shower and one for outside. Garden is beautiful and well kept. Added bonus watching the sheep in the field to the side of the house. But what makes the place is the owner. She is helpful, friendly and makes a great breakfast.

Problems with heating. And noise , was kept up the entire night thanks to some lovely couple. Emailed and text about this issue no answer to then phone and get told I would get emailed back and still have not. What a joke I paid £262 for one night and this is how you get treated.

Property, location, room, breakfast, housekeeping, F&B staff all were very polite and helpful. Reception was good too, just forgot to put the crib in the room but that was sent up shortly by housekeeping.

East Calder had everything you would need for a stay and is so close to larger shopping options that we easily found everything we needed. We would have liked to have had more time to explore the town but we were warmly welcomed into the local parish church on Sunday morning, found just what I was looking for in the Scotmid and small Tesco, and had a delivery from the Chinese takeaway 'the cooking house' which was delicious and the delivery driver was so helpful also.
It was so easy to get into Edinburgh from the Ingliston park and ride and a family day ticket was £8.50 and that covered all trams and buses for the whole day. The Five sisters Zoo was excellent and the staff were so willing to share information and answer questions that we really felt like we got a great experience there. We also visited deep sea world and enjoyed it, it was a quiet day when we attended so had the place almost to ourselves.
