Excellent accommodation; beautiful decor. Very friendly hosts. The bedroom was warm and the bed extremely comfortable. Great TV with Netflix. Excellent en suite and good shower. The breakfasts were all absolutely delicious, plentiful and beautifully cooked. We parked our car in their car park but, when that wasn't available, there was plentiful on street, free parking right alongside the property. We would highly recommend The Corner House

Lowestoft is a busy working port. It has stunning beaches with golden sands.
We have family who chose to live there so we are lucky enough to visit them often.
We are wildlife lovers so there are so many places to visit a ride away like Minsmere and Carlton Marshes and the Norfolk coast.
The trip boat for Oulton Broad goes from right outside the Wherry Hotel and smaller boats can be hired.

Lowestoft is a traditional seaside town.
Lowestoft is a traditional seaside town. A beautiful beach south of the town, great for bathing, games and walks, and a beach north of the town that is more scenic but inaccessible due to the tides and ruined old sea wall. Loads of local attractions to visit including Africa Alive, the Transport museum, Sparrows Nest Park, Oulton Broad and Claremont Pier. Some great restaurants to eat at, but especially Sgt Peppers on the High Street. And being the most easterly place in the UK, make sure you get up early to see the sun rise. Spectacular on a clear morning!

Lovely seaside town with harbour and river interest.
Lovely seaside town with harbour and river interest. They have special hotels for the Kittiwakes out at sea and a colourful pier. Oulton Broad provides some lovely lake views and sunsets with boats and kids play park. It is a great destination for the family and only a short ride away.
Lowestoft has long promenade with cycle lane and gardens and nice cafes.
The beaches are stunning with golden sands and beach huts.
There is a good bus service around the coast to Southwold, a gem, and Great Yarmouth.

Interesting seaside town.
Interesting seaside town. South Beach was perfect plenty of places to eat. The town centre altho big seemed a bit tired but the beach and front area had a buzz about it. The port side of it made it interesting too
We often visit Lowestoft and stay in a purple palace but notice there prices had started to creep up, so we went on a search for a great value for money hotel and we certainly found it !! The team are so very friendly and want to make sure you have a great stay, the rooms are very comfortable with everything you could need and more and breakfast was included. The ingredients we good the eggs we bright orange which shows they are fresh and everything was very tasty. I would highly recommend and we will certainly be booking again
Baytree is a quirky, lovely styled guest house, beautifully decorated with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The owner & staff are very friendly & accommodating. As a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable.
The hotel is a stones throw from the beach & large park in a lovely leafy quiet area of Lowestoft. I really enjoyed the continental breakfast & choice of foods. I will definitely rebook.
Easy check in. Someone on the desk at the reception area even though we arrived late, someone was there to check us in. Amenities are great. Rooms comfortable and clean. Tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer and towels. Tv. Heater and fan in room. Shampoo/conditioner in shower. Everything you need. Bar area in hotel, pub, restaurant and beach within walking distance. A lovely stay.
The hotel is located on a clifftop over the South Beach. This is an excellent part of Lowestoft with 19th century terraced facades, like say Cheltenham. The hotel has been extensively modernized. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room had a wonderful sea view. We dined mostly in the hotel and were very satisfied. Breakfast was surprisingly elaborate. There is a lift.
The "free" included breakfast was much better than anticipated. I have the general feeling that the hotel was really doing their best to go the extra mile with the range of facilities etc. I was just looking for "somewhere to rest my head" for the night and the price was keen. The experience exceeded this in many ways
A very pleasant country hotel with lovely gardens surrounding. The only staff member I saw on arrival was a lady who appeared to be waitress, bar lady and receptionist all in one. Although very busy, she remained very pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was again, very pleasant.
The hotel is well situated to explore the area by car, whether you are here for the Broads or the beach or anything in between. There are various options right outside the doorstep as well, restaurants, playgrounds, parks and the starting point for multiple boat trips.
Stayed in the superior room which was finished to a high standard with a lovely Bay window. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. Situated in a nice area 2.5 miles outside Lowestoft, would recommend and would definitely stay again.
Quintessential Suffolk hotel at it's finest, from the wonderful service delicious food and the rooms are perfect for families.
My family and I shall certainly be staying at this again.
Thank you for making my daughter's birthday a special one .
We have stayed at the hotel a couple of times and always liked it. The staff are all helpfull and friendly. The hotel is nice and clean . provides a good breakfast+ lovey setting on edge of water .A good place to stay to get around the broads.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff and delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Our room was so comfortable with a spacious lounge area. The bed was fabulous, best nights sleep we have ever had in a hotel, we wanted to take the mattress home!
The cabin was small but had everything we needed. It is behind the owners house but very private. Very quiet area. Our first trip to Suffolk and there was plenty to explore.
Paula was very welcoming.
View from the bedroom ... beach, sea and pier !! What a winner! Very attentive and friendly staff with a yummy breakie to boot :-) Definitely recommend this as a base for exploring the area.
Only stayed for one night and can find no fault with the hotel or staff. Lowestoft will never be an attractive town but the southern parade around Claremont Pier is a pleasant enough spot.
