Helmi and Yoke were wonderful, welcoming hosts who showed great care for their guests. Nothing was too much trouble, dive trip, transfers and oddball requests dealt with efficiently and with grace. The food was simply amazing. Great use of local resources to produce a local cuisine that was second to none on the island. Whilst largely fish or chicken based, every meal was different, and delicious. Fresh tastes, plenty of vegetables, cold beer and warm smiles. We had only booked one night, planning to extend but unfortunately we had to move as our room was already booked. No problems, Helmi and Yoke were only too happy to have us as casual diners, which ended up to be every evening meal for the remaining week we were on the Island.
The rooms are quite spartan, air conditioning is coming, but everything is clean and well presented.

We had a great time at cakalang with Fernando and his wife being extremely accomodating. Debbie the receptionist/cook was amazing and made the best food we have had in Indonesia. Great diving experience with the team here also.
Can’t wait to return some time soon!

A gem of a hotel. Comfortable rooms. Great food. Foo was very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more. My wife had a dive with Yorry who was very professional. The diving was spectacular. I snorkelled and it was the best snorkelling I’ve had in Indonesia. So many turtles. We’re planning our return.

Fantastic 5-night stay with Dion and his family, in almost-beachfront property within main Bunaken village. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned, with private bathroom and a small sitting area with chair(s) and clothes drying rack, just outside my room, all within access to wifi internet. The beach, which is 25m away, is kept quite clean and a great place to unwind after the dives or before dinner. Three delicious meals are served at set times each day, the menu including rice/noodle, vegetables, and a protein meat/fish dish ... every day slightly different. Great setup to meet the other guests and get to know Dion and his family. I organized 8 dives with Dion's affiliated Blue Shark Diving shop, and each outing was very special. And lastly, Dion himself was very helpful in organizing the next leg of my journey ... he helped book reliable, clean private cars, and tours for my next trajectory to the Togean Islands. In summary, a very memorable stay. Thank you!

Excellent food, lots of fruit, good variety, different dishes every meal. Fish was very fresh and often accompanied by a photo of the actual fish. Stephen and Missi made us feel like part of the family. Stephen arranged for car and boat transportation from the airport and later to Tangkoko. Also for a snorkeling boat. Very attentive and interested in our welfare.

Well maintained, great staff, well run dive operation. All the dive gear was in great order, the staff focussed on providing an enjoyable dive with.an appropriate level of safety. The night dives were extraordinary, and the onshore resort very comfortable. There’s a great bar just up the road when you’ve had enough Bintang at the resort that smashes Caparinhas. Really enjoyable range of guests, mostly dive nuts but generally quite harmless. Would be very happy to stay here again.

They upgraded us to a sea view bungalow which was spacious and comfortable. The adjoining bathroom was open to the sky for the shower (the rest had a roof 🙂)
It’s a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Indonesia-very quiet at this time of year (end of February)
The staff were all very friendly and helpful

Bella was a fantastic hostess, amazing cook and really made us feel at home. Could not fault the food or service!!! We extended our stay by an extra 4 days because it was so nice.

Island of Bunaken is very accessible on a short boat ride from Manado harbor. The island itself is very quiet, almost boring if you come looking for lively nightlife or bars & restaurants. The main attraction are the coral reefs, still relatively pristine with its marine life ecosystem ... let's hope that it can continue to stay that way.

The island is very beautiful, a place from which to go diving and snorkling. There is everything for everyone. Unfortunately, the plastic is at home in a national park! Tourist activity has started to destroy the coral reef in some places. In a few years Bunaken park will be only in name. It is a recommended place for those who practice diving, less a place to relax.

Dive operation Celebes Divers made me feel very welcome and couldn't do enough to assist my diving. At 78 years old and with a scuba career of nearly 50 years, Dive leader Ali and the other dive team members plus the boat crew did all they could to assist me in exiting the water, given my knee problems, by me doffing my equipment in the water, crew members lifting it up onto the deck, so I could climb aboard unencumbered.
Dived an interesting Japanese freighter wreck sunk by the Americans in World War 2 and several reefs chock a block with fish & corals. Well done Celebes Divers staff!

Airport transfers must be arranged through the resort.
Airport transfers must be arranged through the resort. Don't even attempt to do this yourself. You have to love swimming, snorkelling and or diving to make the most of your stay. The resort is in the bunaken national park - so the sites are pretty amazing. There is a spa to enjoy after the relaxing dives. Food is great so no need to drag snack along. Not mush to buy - so make sure you have the essentials! Enjoy a fab experience!

Loved Bunaken, stayed one week on either side of the island in full board resorts which was good because both sides are so different. Many good dive boats/teams and great snorkeling from the beach or go out with a dive boat. The small town deserves some time spent there and next time I'd stay in town for a few days as well.

If you are looking at Bunaken as a holiday destination you are probably already aware of what an amazing place it is for diving or snorkelling, lots of healthy coral and sea life including turtles, rays, small sharks and a never ending variety of fish.
It's quite a quiet location which is perfect if you are looking for peace. Bunaken is a very small island so there isn't a town where you can go partying or anything. you are likely to spend the majority of your time in the resort although you can go and explore a little if you wish.
Our stay in Terry‘s resort was great! Diving was very well organized, the equipment and the dive masters were very good and we always felt safe.
One of the highlights was the excellent food which was freshly prepared just for us three times a day!
Make sure you rent one of the beach view bungalows to get the best view.
The bungalows are simple but equipped with everything you need (no warm water, WIFI will be back soon). Only some of them might need a little refresh but that is constantly taken care of.
An amazing stay, this is heaven on earth in Bunaken! The resort staff was superbly accommodating, making sure everything was done superbly and all our wishes were taken care of. Everyone is superbly kind, the resort is gorgeous, the diving is one of the best I have experienced... I am not doing this review justice in this short summary, because it really was so amazingly unreal. Don't think twice, just book and enjoy!
Super friendly staff. The owners are great. There is a very friendly vibe. The food is delicious, homemade and shared with the other guests. The view from the room is incredible. The restaurant/ lounge area is super comfortable. Great dives and snorkel opportunities with equipment can be arranged on site. Diving instructors are amazing. You can even snorkel from the beach. Motorbike rentals can be arranged.
Great location in the village right next to the public ferry. The food was incredible, as mentioned by many others. You can experience the life of the people of Bunaken, as you are staying with a local family and everything happens on the street and beach around the house. The dive shop next door is also really good. Free water and coffee were also appreciated and the fan in the room an absolute necessity!
Staff and owners were lovely. Helped us organise easy travel to and from. Diving is world class, very well organised, easy going, instructors are great and safety conscious. Food was delicious. Lovely location, close to the village and lovely area to swim. Snorkelling directly out the front is amazing. Would definitely come back. Thanks especially to David and Vivi for making our stay so memorable.
Really lovely resort grounds with both pool and beach access. We stayed in a family cottage that was really well laid out and super comfortable.
Meals had a good selection of both Indonesian and western options. Staff was great throughout the stay. Our daughter had her birthday while we were there and they made her feel really special with a custom cake, live band singing happy birthday, etc.
The food was excellent. Primarily Indonesian food that was delicious. Excellent dive sites close to the accommodation. The house reef is a great snorkelling location. The transfers to and from the island were seamless. Willeke and Jerry are doing their best to minimise the impact of their property and their guests on the environment and the National Park that is adjacent to their property.
The local staff are really helpful and hospitable. They contacted and found a lab in Manado for PCR test that can issue out the test result within 24 hours, which really saved my time and cost. Thanks to the staff's company along to the lab, I complete the PCR test smoothly. It could be hard to even fill in the test registration form in Indonesian without their help in translation.
We booked for 6 nights and extended our stay for 9 nights as it was so good we just couldn't leave. Nona cooks the most delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, see the sunrise but get the afternoon shade. They can organise all your diving or snorkeling trips, rent motorbike to see more of the island etc.
I had a fantastic stay at 3WILL! The diving is beautiful and well-organized, the food and accommodation are great, and the location on the beach is perfect. Connor and all the staff were so friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond to ensure the best possible stay. Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed and I hope to come back soon :)
Mr Elryc and his mother corry are awesome host. This Family Business let you feel like you're a part of the family.
Clean Bungalows, clean area, nice Island trip, awesome diving and amazing food.
We extended our stay. We would stay longer if we had more time. But we will come again for sure.
The place to stay at bunaken Island. 👍🤙
It’s a small resort nicely integrated into the small village.
The personal care of the whole team around Sarah was a great experience and the food unique and the best we ever had enjoyed.
The common meals on the beach are beautiful and you can chat wit the other guests at the dinner.
The house riff is also on a very good condition.
We had a very warm welcome in Four Sisters. The staff is really friendly and made us feel at home. The food was amazing and made with a lot of care.
We were very pleased with our instructor Rizky who made the diving way more fun. Diving in Bunaken was beautiful! We left Four Sisters with warm feelings, would definitely come back!
Friendly staff and always helpful. The dive master Jho and the boat crew are nice. The private transfer from airport was a breeze… save a lot of trouble and time as I did ask a guest who spent 4 hrs to get to the hotel 😂… the kitchen staff serve good tasty food local and western
Very good place with a great staff. They really make you feel like home. The food is also great. Only 1 minute walk from the beach. The island is also great and the diving is very good. I planned to stay one week and ended up staying 3 weeks
I love how welcome Rob and Sylvia made me feel at their resorts. Sven & his team were also a great dive guide, very passionate about diving.
Not to mentioned the lovely meal that’s included with the stay. Scrumptious!!!
hotel was closed and transfered to another hotel.
Onong resor is not the condition to stay at all.
i know this after arrival. manajemen t of onong is not honest.
Loved staying here and meeting Novita and her family! Food was delicious, everyone was so nice! Bunaken in general was such a great island loved our time here!
