The superb location just by the sea. The ambience. The beautiful room ( though the attic could have been a little bigger...anyway I would not deduct any points for that). The place had all the vibes we were looking for. We had great time staying for 2 days and exploring the golden circle as well as the capital city.

Great location, close to bus stop 9 for all the bus pick ups and within walking distance to all city sights. Breakfast was lovely-provided gluten free bread on request.
Downtown Reykjavik is full of life, joy and culture, so it can be noisy at night. We recommend enjoying the live music at the bar downstairs, which will stop at 11 in the night.

Perfectly adequate double room, the decor was a little dated but with a large screen TV and comfortable bed and bedding.
Check-in was seamless, breakfast excellent, checkout hassle free.
The airport transfer bus from Keflavik leaves you at the main bus station on the outskirts of town. You can pick up a minibus there to the Hiemmur bus station, a short walk from the hotel, for 1100 kr per person or you can ride public bus number 8 to the same stop for around half of that.

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.
