A bustling small city, Eindhoven is the ‘Capital of Dutch Design’ and home to the Design Academy. It houses a renowned technical university, and is a European technological hub that makes it shine with modern buildings and venues. The 5th-largest city in the Netherlands has also become popular for the fast-growing Eindhoven Airport.
Although it gained its city rights in 1232, until the foundation of the Phillips Company in 1891 it was still a small village. Encompassing the growth of the company, at the beginning of the 21st century its population had jumped to 200.000 people.
Nowadays, it still attracts companies and people wanting to develop themselves in the fields of creativity and innovation. The Dutch Design Week is a famous event that takes place in October, while contemporary media, art and technology inspire the city’s agenda throughout the year.
Choosing hotels in Eindhoven’s city centre is the best way to have everything at hand. However, hotels or B&B’s near the train station or Eindhoven Airport are also a good option to avoid last-minute rushes. Check out Booking.com’s deals before you travel!
We absolutely loved the city. It has such a cool and calm vibe. We loved eating in those street food court type restaurants where you order via QR code. Everything is digital in Eindhoven. We traveled by a rented bicycle and this is the best way to see the city. Even if its rainy - suck it up. See the Evoluon, Daf museum, Strijp, have a VR experience and enjoy amazing architecture.

We were there for a music festival and like any city or town there are good bits and some iffy bits. There's lots to see in Eindhoven and we didn't get the chance to do much more than scratch the surface of the city. We'd be very happy to go back and do more exploring

Its right on the airport terminal, so good for catching an early flight.
The room is basic but comfortable.
The biggest negative is that the hotel does not offer dinner and you can only get some fast food in the area. The airport restaurant ( snacks and pizza only) closes at 20:00 and the there is only MD close by.

Eindhoven is a great place to come and shop, take in a leisurely meal, and just relax. Everyone is very friendly and although its outward appearance is not as pretty as Amsterdam or as large as Rotterdam it still has a charm that keeps drawing me back. There is something for everyone here and you can take in a football match at PSV or a music event at Dynamo, it is a young vibrant city with a very nice up-and-coming area at the old Philips site - Strijp S
Don't forget to check out the DAF and Philips museums - really good day out

A truly unremarkable town.
A truly unremarkable town. We had to walk for 12 minutes even to get to a coffee. A US diplomate once described the Cold War West German Capital of Bonn as "Half as big as an average cemetery in Chicago, but double as dead". Eindhoven meets this description as well. I will never consider staying or passing through there again.
We had a very lovely stay in this beautiful room. The room has its own entrance, so you have a lot of privacy. Very nice welcome of the host. The minibar was included and was filled with a bottle of cava, beer, wine and other drinks. Also, there was a plate of cheeses and some meat. We loved it! The next morning, we had a nice breakfast in the room before to leave to Eindhoven airport. For us everything was perfect, even during the lockdown in NL. It is close to the city centre, there is free parking and the host is very helpful. Thank you!
The hotel is just out of the city centre and is approx a 25 min walk in, but its a nice walk if the weather is good.
The hotel it's self is built into the college but don't let that put you off. The students that were working are very helpful and run a great hotel! I loved it here, the rooms are very comfortable , modern , nice size with a great bathroom. The bed was very comfy, I slept amazing both nights. I was pleasantly surprised with just how good this hotel was and I will definitely return on my next visit to Eindhoven.
The hotel is very nice, clean and the staff is extremely helpful. Mr Hassan is there for clients and very helpful and friendly. Also, Francy is nice and funny. The staff answered all my requests, from bringing utensils to my room, to cleaning it correctly ... The beds and pillows are amazing ! And finally what I loved about it is that it's in the heart of the airport so I brought my luggage in the airport car until my room very comfortably; then even allowed me to keep the car in my room :)
First the property owners are great people. They made check in and check out very smooth for me. There was a huge snow storm that day in Eindhoven, and they also offered to pick me up from airport. On the next morning they take me back to the airport, which was amazing. The property is very cozy and clear, everything a one person may need. They also gave me a beer free-of-charge as a welcome. I highly recommend this place.
Great location, close to Eindhoven Centraal (train and bus stations) which is easier if you come from airport. There are lots of shoppings and restaurants near the hotel. Since it is very central, you can walk to visit everything in the city. You just to walk few meters to visit Philips Museum, St. Catherine's Church or Piazza Centre. The room (7th floor) had a great view over a part of Eindhoven. The staff were very nice.
The location is great, in the city center :) On the day we landed in Eindhoven, we had to travel to Amsterdam, but it turned out that due to the storm, all transport buses and trains were stopped. We had a reservation for Boutique Hotel Lumiere in two days. This did not stop the boy from the reception with a smile and change our reservation for free, for which we are very grateful :) Excellent experience :) Thank you :)
I have stayed in this hotel already a couple of times. My son loves the hotel a lot. I really liked the way how they painted the swimming pool. And the water had a really nice temperature. Breakfast was delicious and I had a safe feeling because of the Corona rules. The hotel is of a walking distance from the centrum which is really great if you like shopping and eating delicious food.
The hotel is excellent, the location is in the city center, 500m from the Central Station.
There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel, where I come even when I'm not a guest at the hotel.
This was not my first visit, I was a guest before.
The room is excellent, with a nice view of the central square.
The reception staff is friendly.
The hotel is located in a great place only minutes away from the train/bus station of Eindhoven.
The breakfast was plenty and quite nice (not included in the standard room reservation).
One could access laundry/ironing facilities in the hotel.
I loved the hotel, it is in the city center, big room, clean, very nice and helpful people at the reception and in the restaurant. I asked for a quiet room and I received it. For sure I will stay here, if I will visit again Eindhoven.
The city centre is just 20 minutes' walk away. 30 minutes' walk to the central bus station. There is a large grocery shop next to the hotel. There is no kettle in the room, but coffee can be made at reception for an extra charge.
I enjoyed the very comfortable bed and pillow. The room was very clean. It is located is a very quiet area. The facilities were quite OK.
Location is very close to the Eindhoven Airport (5-10 minute drive) which was excellent.
The hotel was easy to find and within walking distance of the railway station and city centre.
We arrived earlier than the published check-in time but the friendly staff at reception found us an available room straight away.
The room size is just ok for a family with 1 kid, but the view is nice. The breakfast was great with a nice city view as well. Restaurants are just around the hotel and station Eindhoven Centraal is 5 mins walking.
The bed is very comfortable. The hotel even provides water and some other drinks. Shower kit is also provided. Walkable distance to Eindhoven station. The staff is very friendly.
The hotel is located on beatiful street right in the city center. Owner was very friendly and the room was just what we needed for our short stay in eindhoven.
