The villa was spotless, well maintained & fully stocked. The bedrooms were spacious, light & both had en suites. The pool area & general outside space is lovely too. Alex, our host was awesome as well, he made our weekend with his restaurant & bar recommendations!

You need a rental car unless you want to stay entirely in the hotel. Limited supermarket in walking distance for beverages and chips. In 2,5km distance at the entrance of the resort is shopping Center with a more equipped supermarket.

Quinta do Lago was just beautiful, very high end with plenty of good restaurants to choose from. We were there primarily for golf and the South Course of Quinta do Lago was stunning. Plenty of amazing houses around the course to keep me entertained when I wasn't watching the golf.
We ate out at a variety of different restaurants, Bovinos, Paixa, Tony's, Casa do Lago and The Cheeky Pup, all very different from the next, but all served up top quality food and had a great atmosphere, even at the beginning of November when I would have expected things to have quietened down.
We walked a fair bit around Quinta and I found it exceptionally clean and well tended to. I will definitely be back.

The hotel itself was good, but the location dreadful.
The hotel itself was good, but the location dreadful. The noise of airplanes taking off and landing every few minutes was constant from 6am. They were flying so low you could read the name of the airline with no difficulty. Perhaps would make a good de luxe airport hotel, but not a peaceful holiday hotel. On that basis would not recommend or return.

This is an upmarket area in the Algarve. It is well maintained and a lovely place to relax. The Ria Formosa national park, which is nearby, is a beautiful place to walk and watch nature. If you are a golfer, this is a great place to stay, although playing golf here is expensive.
The roads are clean and easy to get around. One of the best restaurants in the area is the Green Valley, which I highly recommend. There are several others offering good quality food.

The hotels location was perfect and has a long boardwalk built through the nature reserve which allows access to the beach and various good fun restaurants.
The Bold Octopus being one is definitely worth a visit. We were lucky enough to drop in late one afternoon to sit on the roof terrace with a drink and enjoy live music. We returned one evening to eat there and the seafood menu was very good.
Julia’s beach at the end of the boardwalk has a variety of beach bars and restaurants which are definitely work the ride (or long walk) to visit.
We decided not to rent a car and use bikes rented from the hotel which proved to be perfectly adequate for sight seeing, visiting shops and restaurants.
Hotel Quinta do Lago was beautifully furnished, had a wonderful pool with a good many sun beds for all of the guests and a fabulous breakfast!! Our room had a large sea view balcony and was spacious and well equipped.
The bathroom was also very spacious, scrupulously clean and well stocked with products.
The hotel staff made our stay with their friendliness and their willingness to help in every way possible.
Can’t wait to go back
We loved the sense of space in this house - including the large living/dining room. It’s set in a lovely, quiet community and it’s an easy walk/short drive from stunning Ançao beach and Quinta do Lago (we loved the walk there along the boardwalk through the Ria Formosa).
The house is well kept, nicely decorated and has sunny terraces back and front (plus a shadier ground floor terrace at the back). We’d definitely book again.
This was one of the best places I've ever stayed in Portugal. The house is set in a very pristine area with all of the amenities that you expect in your place of stay. Vida is the owner of this house, and she will welcome all visitors about the house with a total walk through to make sure you are confident in the house and the amenities that comes with it.
Excellent location and facilities. We had a big group and wanted to rent a villa, the biggest plus was that it was run like a hotel with house keeping as well as concierge to support. It was a very quiet location and close to the beach so we got good night sleep (also thanks to the AC) after a fun filled day.
What a really lovely place to stay. The decor was classy and unique and the staff couldn’t do enough to be helpful and efficient- nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the hotel both nights having already been in Portugal for two weeks, and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay again. Thank you .
Lovely villa in the heart of Quinta de Lago it was very close to the local town Almancil. Great outdoor space and very large rooms. Amazing views looking to the golf. Gated therefore child friendly. Being the last villa your just by the private pool which was defiantly a bonus.
The villa was absolutely fantastic. Every aspect of it was exceptional. The staff, particularly the lady in the restaurant, were incredibly professional. The villa also boasted a fully equipped kitchen, they are providing guests with excellent facilities throughout their stay.

The hotel is located in a fantastic area, which is safe and has enough entertainment for the guests. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Good spread for breakfast.
We had an excellent experience at the facility.
The Quinta do Lago area is beautiful and close to top rated golf courses and Rio Formosa Nature Park with nice trails and boardwalks along the beach. The townhouse we stayed in at the resort was safe, nicely decorated and comfortable.
Location of hotel great
Staff very friendly - receptionist staff - restaurant staff - Barbara wonderful in the restaurant along with all the staff who were always so friendly - also the cleaners and room service staff
The website/ Booking.com gave the impression that the hotel had wider facilities than reality. ( eg beach bar )
The hotel was more like a Las Vagas motel - an impression which was not portrayed online
Whilst the booking was made through booking.com I had requested 2 villas with 4 bedrooms each was disappointed that we only got 3 bedrooms in each property
