I liked the huge availability of hotels and restaurants, but not the high prices. Unfortunately there was a wait in all the restaurants we went into - Sizzler for dinner and Denny's for breakfast with a 30 minute wait, but good food. Heavy traffic, but reasonable traffic light system. The roads could be marked clearer - with the name and the (highway) number, too. Google Maps/GPS got us around well. Appears to be a lot of activities, winter and summer. It'd be nice if there was magazines at the hotel of local, current activities. The large park we drove by looked very nice. I would like to spend more time exploring Flagstaff.

We live just **up the road** in Show Low.
We live just **up the road** in Show Low. We came to Flagstaff to try some new restaurants and to visit Riordan Mansion. We'll be back to try more restaurants. We highly recommend Flagstaff. One thing not to our liking was there was so much road construction and roads closed our GPS (OnStar) didn't function right. We were told it was because of all the detours. But we still found our way to where we wanted to go. Everyone should see Riordan Mansion and try Fat Olive restaurant.

Very nice place to visit If I had more time I would probably be a little bit more adventurous but when it’s business, I pretty much stay close to the room or whenever I’m doing business I’m at the facility.

Lot's of sightseeing around Flagstaff...such as the Sunset Crater Volcano...pretty cool to see the lava streams. The Meteor crater is also worth exploring and lots more such as Grand Canyon. If you like hiking I'd recoommend to buy an annual NATIONAL PARK PASS for ony $80.-...considering Grand Canyon is $35.- entry and other parks are about $25.- you get your money back in a couple of days.

The location of the hotel was ok.
The location of the hotel was ok. Would I book it again, probably no. We’ve arrived a bit late and the dinner plus drinks didn’t meet the criteria of the charges. Therefore, sit by the fire pit, but bring your own food and drinks because the restaurant inside will absolutely rip you off. Hotel itself had pretty friendly and helpful staff.

On Interstate 40, high in the mountains, cool in summer, skying in winter, good college, all the amenities of a city. One the way to Grand Canyon, great place to stop and make sure you have everything you need.
I needed a room for a night and I was with my dog. I got what I needed! They charged me 25$ pet fee for one night. My friend who stayed more nights with her pet was charged 25$ for each night. It would be nice to have a surcharge for the stay and not each single night since the the room is cleaned once only (unless damage is done, of course). The hotel is close to pretty much anything in Flagstaff. The train is right across the street, so if you do not like noise, then another place might be better.
Love this old place! It is downtown Flagstaff so walking distance to all of town. We hit it on a weekend so thoroughly enjoyed the jazz/blues pianist in the lounge. Our room was tiny, but super clean with a very comfortable bed. I think the "tiny" is because the hotel is so old. We were on the third floor which was not noisy at all. Got to enjoy the Zane Grey wrap-around balcony on the second floor. We were able to snag a parking space right at the hotel which was really nice.
The beds were comfortable. There was a couch bed as well which was nice. Breakfast was gid with eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, and pancake options. The pool was a little cold and the hot tub could have been a touch warmer but it was nice. The hotel seemed to not be in the nicest part of Flagstaff and close to the railroad tracks but we saw no trouble and didn't hear any trains during sleeping hours. The pizza place right next door was very good.
The location. We love Flagstaff and it’s not a sketchy area. We always love grab food around the Hotel Monte Vista, so many good restaurants with good food. We tried Karma Sushi Grill & Aloha Hawaiian BBQ it’s so good. The Inn has enough parking lot for you to park. The bathroom is pretty small but clean. It has TV, fridge, microwave and wifi. Price is pretty good, don’t mind to come back again in the future.
We loved the hotel! The rooms were updated and nice with comfy beds. The hot tub was our favorite part! It was so nice being able to soak in it and relax after a long day of sight seeing! We also really enjoyed the fancy coffee machine in the lobby. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we come back to Flagstaff.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who proved to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The room itself was exceptionally clean and tidy, providing us with a comfortable stay. There is no breakfast available, but it's not a problem as McDonald's and Starbucks are just a 30-second walk away from the hotel
I was in Flagstaff for Northern Arizona University’s graduation. It was an easy one mike walk to campus along a walk/bike trail. The rooms were big, comfortable and clean. The hotel is near the junction of Interstate 40/17. This hotel was a great value compared to other hotels in the area.
Room upgrade due to issue with 1st room. Reception/lobby staff were great. Coffee was available anytime from reception This is an amazing building and hotel, it can be busy on an evening due to live music but this was no issue. Loved the hotel and town of Flagstaff
Comfortable beds, sheets, pillows. Fridge and microwave in room. Laundry onsite and you can get quarters from reception. Unlike most Flagstaff hotels this isn't across from the railway line so the train noise was pretty minimal - I slept very well.
The hotel is conveniently located a short distance to a choice of restaurants; the room was large enough to accommodate the 4 of us comfortably; and breakfast was included, which is a plus when traveling with kids
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Good location for walking to downtown Flagstaff. Convenient having the breakfast with simple yet plentiful offerings. The hotel is dated but well cleaned.
Nothing the manager would not honor the reservation charge and told me to get the fuck out of his hotel so I had to find another place to stay and I did the Ramada inn Flagstaff
I love this hotel. I always book this hotel when I am in Flagstaff. I love their layout, the rooms are always nice and the staff so friendly and helpful.
