Lovely building restored to a high standard and design - contemporary but in keeping with the era. The location was excellent, being close to restaurants on the main street as well as very convenient for catching the train after we left.

Quirky. It had everything I needed and more. Listen my bike to first floor veranda, unpacked and made myself at home. Perfect for a longer stay but I was only staying one night as part of a multi-day cycling trip from NYC to Montreal on the Empire State Trail. I never actually met the people running the inn. Talked on the phone and they told me how to get in and the normal protocols. I had a good night’s sleep then got up in the morning and sat on the veranda with a coffee, looking out onto the meadow and listening to the sounds of nature - phenomenal. The Merlin app identified so many birds it was incredible.

It really is just as described.
It really is just as described. I was upgraded to a room downstairs and was very grateful for the ease in parking and moving things to the room. It was a cold, snowy time and I could imagine it is really beautiful with the gardens in full bloom and the creek running on a warm day. I'll love to experience it then too. Breakfast at the B&B was great!
Breakfast at the B&B was great! For a good meal Ca'Mea is always a good default choice (besides, it is open for lunch, which in Hudson is a big plus; and their wines are not outrageously expensive!). My wife had a deep tissue massage at Bodhi and she was very happy afterwards (and, believe me, she is not so easy to keep happy!). First night had dinner at Feast and Floret and the food was delicious! But make sure you know where are they going to seat you... We went nicely attired and they did not seat us in the elegant main dining room but in a not-so-elegant adjacent "patio" (inside, not outside). Not the best choice for a romantic dinner... We are moderately avid birdwatchers and did enjoy our birdwatching little adventures, just going around in the city, not even going into the countryside (no car, took the train from NY). Even saw a great crested flycatcher! And some goldfinches grabbing stuff for their nest (mostly the female while the male stood by...)

Go to Hudson for at least 2-3 days. It's great for just an overnight trip, but you'll leave knowing there was so much more to see. Cutest boutiques, restaurants and bars all over the town, with any activity you could want nearby (swimming, hiking, cycling, skiing in the winter, winetasting, art galleries and outdoor exhibitions, you name it!).KristinUnited States - 10Scored 10

Accommodations at The Nest in Hudson were excellent and in the center of town. The town is a beauty is you appreciate tastefully designed eating and shopping experiences. The restored architecture of the original 18th and 19th century buildings is authentic, charming, and rewarding.
