Well located in the Suedviertel district of Essen, Trip Inn Hotel & Suites Essen is located 700 metres from Philharmonic House Essen, 1.4 km from Aalto Theatre and 1.5 km from Grillo Theatre. The room was very clean, very nice staff, everything was great. Super night! Recommended

This 4-star hotel is located directly south of Essen city centre. It is 1 underground station from Essen Main Station and 3 stops from the Gruga-Halle exhibition centre. Breakfast was excellent, with high quality foods and lots of different items to choose from. The family room we were given was spacious and offered a small divider to separate our space from that of our children. The location of the hotel is excellent; it's very near the Essen Central Railway station (walking distance), very near a Metro Station and it's walking distance from the Messe Essen (1,6km). Also, within very easy walking distance, there is a street parallel to the one the hotel is situated on, which offers a wide range of restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly, spoke fluent English and everything was very easy for us.

Great location for access to the main transport terminal (HBF) for both transport and shopping was very convenient. No need for a taxi on arrival or departure, just a short walk. Whilst it is on a busy road, traffic slows to a very low level in the evening and we did not lose any sleep overnight from it. The host was the most attentive to ensuring the quality of our stay so far in our nearly 3 months travelling and gave a great rundown on the property and immediate location on arrival. Size and fit out were fantastic making this a good value and comfortable property to stay at, which we would use again when in Essen.

The location is very convenient, a fast 10 minute walk to the central train station "Hauptbahnhof" and just two blocks from the "Philharmonie" underground and tram station. The apartment was clean and quiet in a primarily residential neighborhood. We were able to briefly park on-site to unload our rental car when we checked in, and then dropped the car off at the central station.
