The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. For breakfast, the ability to make your own juice from a nice selection of fruits and vegetables. Room was exceptionally well lit (floor to ceiling windows). Location on the water could not be better. Staff was excellent, polite and professional.

Instead of a mini-bar, there was a separate room offering cold drinks, snacks - at very reasonable prices, which was great. Continental breakfast; fresh cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, pastries, etc. Good value for money. Very comfortable stay, would definitely stay there again.
