Black Ivy is just a 15-minute walk from Edinburgh city centre and features a lively bar which overlooks Bruntsfield Links park. The bed was so comfortable.. the shower with more than comfortable. Smelly soap and shampoo. Everything was better than expected

The Albyn Townhouse is a generous 4-storey, 19th-century traditional town house. Such a lovely house, on a great location (not far from the city centre, in a quiet neighbourhood)! Lydie, the host, is definitely one of the finest hosts I've ever had. It was a beautiful room, with great beds (rather hard matrasses and firm pillows, which we prefer) and a clean and modern bathroom. On one day we booked an extra breakfast: it was everything a breakfast needs to be, yummie and brought to us with love. If ever in Edinburgh again, we would surely choose Albyn Townhouse again!!!
