Location is great, very close to the waterfront and in a walking distance of the main venues in Funchal. Rooms are modern, functional, clean and spacious. Loved the walk-in shower. Large enough for two people. Breakfast was healthy and complete. Loved the juices, freshly pressed. Coffee was also great. Staff is excellent, they are really helpful and are willing to solve any problem you may have. Margarida in the breakfast shift at the hotel was outstanding. Really helpful as well as her colleagues in the reception desk, Charles, Marco, and Paula. Thank you all for your kindness and being so selfless.

Offering an outdoor pool and spa centre, Castanheiro Boutique Hotel is set in Funchal, 500 metres from Marina do Funchal. perfect location just in the middle of the city but quite in a small street! the stuff are amazing!!! helped us with all the tours, renting a car, restaurants and really everything! we prolonged our stay at the hotel because the good experience

Located in the hills surrounding Funchal, this 18th-century mansion is set in extensive botanical gardens with 600 different plant species. All rooms have balconies overlooking the gardens. We enjoyed the warm welcome at the front desk and by the concierge. Everyone working in the hotel is highly professional and very friendly. We felt taken care of by superb hosts in a wonderful environment, the gardens are just marvelous and the house radiates a warm coziness.

Orquidea opens out on to an extra-large roof-top terrace, overlooking Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. good breakfast, parking underground around the corner.

The breakfast buffet was perfect to fill up before starting a full day of exploring! I will stay here again!
