Fig Tree Camp is a dream come true. It is the perfect backdrop and starting point for an authentic safari experience. From the hippo-filled river to the Maasai staff and the monkeys on the tree hut terrace. Our safari guide, Jonathan, was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us the Big Five and countless other wonderful creatures. Peter, the guard, made sure our tent was safe from crocodiles and pointed out visiting wildlife. Moses, the room butler, not only made sure our tent was comfortable, but also that we could take a hot shower in the afternoon. The restaurant and bar served very tasty food and drinks with many healthy options, and the pool was a bonus for the kids. It is a beautifully situated camp that is conveniently located near Keekorok airstrip as well as the Maara river. We highly recommend a stay at Fig Tree camp, it has a very special place in our memories.

Beautiful - I would actually love to live at this camp. ❤️❤️❤️tents are very roomy fully equipped and comfortable- property is very safe with guards at all times. nature to be enjoyed right outside the tents. Perfect for backpackers and individual travelers. This camp is literally your only choice for an affordable safari at Masai Mara. For little money you will stay in a clean tent and have access to simple but well maintained utilities. Wifi works surprisingly well, you have access to an unexpectedly big pool and can enjoy very tasty dinners in the restaurant. The owner is a skilled organizer of transport and shared safaris. Go for it!

It was our second visit to Mara NP, but our first time sleeping within these grounds. Waking up with a river view and having zebras or hyenas or giraffes looking right across is mesmerising. The tent was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for three persons. Esmo was assigned to take care of us at meal times and he did a wonderful job. The meals were freshly prepared and very good. It was like a set menu and there was always a vegeterian option. The Masai also made us feel safe in the evening while escorting us.
