On our last night we had a barbecue together under the stars and he helped us out by driving us into town for our bike tour. The beds are really comfy and we got our own living room area and hammock. The kitchen is fully equipped with spices, a stove, and a big fridge which was a bonus.

El Arbol Eco Lodge is located in a green and exuberant oasis , full of palm trees and a variety of other trees and flowers, where lots of birds have a peaceful and undisturbed place to live. Excellent location close to all the major attractions of the region and a river to swim in within walking distance. The river water is amazing and not as cold as one would expect. Amador, Matias and Karlijn (volunteer) were excellent hosts who readily share all relevant information on the region and make great recommendations. Our room was clean and comfortable. Visiting the wine farm (Cavas del Valle), the brewery (Guayacán) and the pisco farm (ABA) is a must. Valle de Elqui is a magical place.
