I would describe this as an experience rather than just a place to stay. Atte and Alexa have created a warm and welcoming environment where you can choose to relax, take a sauna or spend time chatting with other guests. Spending your first night on the lake is a special feeling, and if you’re very lucky, you’ll even see the Northern Lights! Nothing that we asked was ever a problem. An extra special, late night hot chocolate delivery for our daughters on New Year’s Eve was certainly going above and beyond our wildest expectations!

We were lucky enough to see the northern lights from the warmth of our beds. The igloos are made so thoughtfully with every part of it made for a specific function for your comfort. The hot tub was perfect even in such cold weather! The setting is beyond beautiful

Milda and her dog were the perfect hosts, the place is beautiful, the igloo cozy and comfortable, shame we couldn’t see the aurora as it was snowing but we enjoyed our stay!

Located on the island of Vartiosaari, this hotel offers rooms with Finnish design and free WiFi. The island is accessed via a 72 metres long hanging bridge over the river Kemijoki. Run by lovely, really helpful and down to earth people. We did the ice plunging in the river, which was done professionally and safe. Good selection of the continental breakfast and had a nice homely hearty dinner, which we booked in the morning.

What a lovely cabin a bit outside of Kilpisjärvi! The cabin is located on a small hill with a nice view over the fells. Even the cabin is small, you find everything there you need! Kitchen well equipped, modern bathroom, comfortable beds! Even I arrived before check-in time, they made sure I could already pick up the cabin key.
