To me the best thing about staying at TantraLoka Retreat Center was the common areas. It's so easy to meet people at events, workshops, and just hanging around at the cafe which is beautiful. Many of my lasting friendships in Arambol started at TantraLoka. The cafe is also a good place to work, though the wifi can be spotty. The staff was kind, patient, reasonable, and accommodating; they really helped me out of a few tough situations! In particular at one point there was another male traveler with whom I felt unsafe and uncomfortable, and I felt very well taken care of with how the staff responded to my complaint. Turns out this individual caused a few other issues so he was asked to leave, and he left a 1 start review with no comment- this is why!

Lost hostel is the best option in Palolem for backpackers There’s a great young vibe and they have different events and parties nightly. I enjoyed every day at this amazing hostel! The staff was attentive and caring, polite and sweet. The extra activities they offered ( like private yoga, nature walks, and private dining) were amazing and felt so special! I cannot recommend this place enough, from the small patches of organic veggies growing in the coconut grove to the playful monkeys in the trees to the views and soundscape - this resort is simply breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend!

The place is perfect if you are looking for a quiet and secluded spot. It is not a party hub :) there were only a few ppl there during our stay, including the staff... We loved it! The calmness and peace. The only thing we ve heard was the sea waves, the trees on coconut occasionally falling on the roofs... 🤣 There are no shops around and the nearest village is about 20 min walk preceded by climbing a small hill.... But we didn't mind living on what the restaurant had in their offer - very affordable prices and delicious meals. And the kitchen is open almost the whole day ( with a short break at about 3 pm ) The shack was quite basic but what more do you need while waking up into this view...? :) I would stay there again :)
