Asanka's wife Sadamali prepared our dinner and it was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel arranged the safari. The jeep driver who provides excellent service is the best guide. The sound of the river is like a bavana throughout the night. Love it.

It was a real experience, sleeping in a glamping tent, listening to nature. You can see they really make an effort and are super nice. We were there with kids, and they loved running around, playing with coconuts, going on a river in a canoe, night walk, and the highlight was the bonefire with great dinner. They also arranged morning safari, which was great. Our tent was completely new, which was perfect. But keep in mind, this is still a tent so don't expect a hotel room.

The camp is in a remote area surrounded by protected forests. The last leg of the journey to the camp is undertaken on foot, accompanied by the camp staff, providing a unique and invigorating way to reach your retreat in the wilderness. A truely unforgettable experience with Dulara and the team at Ahaspokuna. It’s difficult to pinpoint one thing that stood out as everything was exceptional. The food, the hospitality, the room, the environment, you will not regret staying here! Hope to be back one day. If you’ve read about the leaches, don’t bother worrying, they’re tiny and a non-event.

The rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. Amazing stay, from great hospitality to comfy bed! Manager is super friendly and helpful, luxury tent exceeded my expectation, huge, modern, well furnished room, great outside bathroom which next to the shower have a bath. Garden was nothing but beautiful, finally pool where you can swim not only rest! Trully recommended!

Steps from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta Village offers a peaceful and scenic getaway from the city and night camping. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The on-site Rose Restaurant serves Western, Chinese and Sri Lankan food. It was really nice stay! We stayed one night in the cottage and second night in the tent. We really enjoyed it! Restaurant staff were super nice and friendly! We also did safari tour with Santha - he was amazing driver and the best guide. He has really good eyes so we were lucky and saw lots of animals. International and traditional Sri Lankan dishes are served by the chef on demand, at the main restaurant. Athgira River Camping offers a great outdoor dining experience as well as a barbecue dinner and cooking demonstrations. Real wild cocktails and a nice wine selection are available as well. The athgira was a beautiful centre to go from out safari from. The staff were so extraordinar y kind and attentive. We had got engaged 2 days before and they had arranged a suprise afternoon tea gardens followed by an exclusive rose petal and candle filled engagement dinner. We love how much of a team they are and got to know them all. Special thanks to chalani, kithamini, Chanuka, kansaka and hinusha. Couldn't recommend more
