What a fabulous find!!! The location is amazing, the cabins are clean and comfortable with stunning views. The communal kitchen and toilets/showers ($2 for 5 minute shower which is ample time) were clean. The bar is really quirky with lots of seating inside and out (we didn't try the restaurant as we had taken our own food and it is only open at certain times at the moment, just weekends i think) The owner is a great fella, very friendly and made us feel really welcome. We only stayed 2 nights, wish we could have stayed longer as it was wonderful there. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Boasting accommodation with a balcony, The Treehut is situated in Upper Hutt. The accommodation is a small tree house. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared in the main house. The Treehut is a great place to stay and relax, close to the river and the Kaitoke Regional park as the Akatarawa Forest. Sean and his daughter Rosie were great hosts and good company. We had good talks and it's beautiful to see their passion to music. The dogs and cats make this extraordinary place even more special. I will definitely be back. :)
