Dinner and drinks prices were more than acceptable and Camp Figtree was the highlight of my month long stay in South Africa. What can I say .. the accommodation was great, lodge staff were wonderful - caring, professional and friendly and catered to our needs. I've stayed at other lodges in South Africa but this stay was more relaxed, it felt more like a family stay. We met some other guests we now keep in touch with. Our guide Roan was the best, passionate and very knowledgeble and able to answer all questions and find animals and plants we wanted to see. And of course the wildlife and fantastic setting of Amarkhala were the icing on the cake!

Located at the Tree Tops Safari Lodge, perched high on thatched platforms with decked walkways. This tree top, thatched-roof luxury tent offers a private balcony with panoramic views of the valley. What an amazing place- they upgraded our accommodation before we arrived as marks camp is more family friendly. We stayed at treetops which was so amazing- our room was gorgeous and the staff so friendly and attentive. M bAli and her team looked after us beautifully and Sivi our ranger was the best- we really lucked out- so knowledgable about the animals- an amazing experience.
