Breakfast was excellent and honestly why we chose Portman Lodge. My husband wanted to experience an English Breakfast. Neal was super helpful and friendly. The room was much nicer, comfortable and more modern than expected.

Serving homemade ice cream and real ales, The Langton Arms has a traditional pub restaurant. The inn is set in a 17th-century thatched house, in the picturesque Dorset village of Tarrant Monkton.

The breakfast is very good. Too bad I couldn't enjoy it everyday since I was leaving the hotel at 07:30 and the breakfast didn't open until 08:00. However the hotel staff still provided me with a short take away breakfast. The fact that there is a good restaurant (the pizzas were excellent and so was the fish and chips) and a bar on the hotel was very convenient for me. The staff was very nice, efficient and cheerful.

Everything, the meal/s were superb. We are here from Canada and the meals were the best we have had in the UK. Great hospitable friendly staff. Room was great also, in fact, we are going back to stay on our way back to Surrey.
