He came back because I had a big suitcase. After spending one night at Juma Cottages, I extended my booking for one more week. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Lake Toba. I strongly recommend Juma to anyone.

We stayed for a total of 9 nights in Romlan; in two different rooms. Where to start with the things we liked? First of all, the staff of Romlan is very friendly and helpful. They even helped us with calling and getting to the local pharmacy to get some medicines for sickness (one of us got ill and they called the pharmacy that was closed due to the Sunday Service and they opened up the pharmacy for us). The food and drinks of their own restaurant were amazing and very tasty & variable; good price value as well! The location of Romlan is also good: the boat drops you off at their pier and all the things in Tuk Tuk are on walking distance. The views from the rooms and restaurant are amazing. If you want to hire a scooter bike you can without signing for anything and you don't have to fuel up the tank (when you get the bike, the tank is full). A free refill water station is available and also some tips & tricks about the surroundings of Romlan and the transport options from Lake Toba to other places like Berastagi or Medan. Definitely recommended to book your stay at Romlan when you are looking for a place to stay in Tuk Tuk.

Parapat is 10 km from the guest house. Very convenient location to walk around and check out different restaurants. The room was lovely and quite spacious with a comfortable bed. Staff were delightful and only went to the restaurant once but we had a delicious meal.

I ate there literally almost every night, I'm actually going to miss the banana and chocolate/cheese pancakes and Rendang Chicken. I booked four nights, but ended up staying two weeks! Owners are some of the friendliest people I have met, and will help you with anything. Highest recommendation on Lake Toba.
