Everything was just perfect. The owner Mike was so helpful and kind. He even got us food from the CactusCafé when we were stuck on desert roads and he then waited for us till we arrived late at night to have the check in and dinner. The house is stunning, furniture is chosen carefully and with love. You feel like home in the Guesthouse immediately. Great breakfast, very warm staff. We enjoyed our time very much and we 100% recommend going there.

Within an hour, my wife was admitted to the only private hospital in Walvis Bay. What does it all have to do with The Rez? A LOT! Malani went above and beyond what was expected of her. When you go on vacation, you don’t expect anything bad to happen. As we learned, it might. Malani literally saved us. And The Rez? Did I mention the nice location in an upscale residential neighborhood only 500 meters away from the waterfront, nice tasteful décor, a cozy courtyard, spacious rooms, upgraded bathrooms, great breakfast (try Ellen’s omelet), and referrals to carefully selected local vendors.

Swakopmund Museum is only 1 km away from the guest house. There are also many bars and restaurants within walking distance from the property. A cozy nook in Swakop. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Mind that the room was quite cold and damp even with the heater, so towels don’t really get dry, but overall we enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere at breakfast is peaceful, and the food and service was great. On our last day they prepared a breakfast bag to go, since our departure was early morning, - very nice. Big thanks to the whole team!
