Walking distance to almost everything I needed in the village shopping area. The proximity to Balmoral Castle really surprised me too. Well manicured and very quiet neighbourhood, exactly what I wanted for a good break. Full marks to the self-catering facilities and cottage arrangement.

Very cosy funxtionable space. The hot tub was lovely and warm even in sub 0c temperatures. The woodburner is excellent and keeps the lodge nice and warm. Wonderful layout and design, everything you need.

Hosts were quick to answer any queries pre arrival and were on hand during our stay. Walked round nearby loch Muick one day - stunning. Ballater is a lovely wee village with lots of walks, excellent Bakery and Indian restuarant.
