Fun place to stay! The owners were really characterful and friendly. It's right in the jungle and the garden is like a jungle too. The room was great, very clean, hot running water and really well kitted out rooms - Good AC, a stocked fridge with cold drink minibar type setup, kettle, tea/coffee, a big washing bowl handy for washing clothes. The entrance to Sigriya is directly opposite the access road to this place - you could not stay any closer, so ideal for an early morning start up the rock. The Breakfast here is absolutely stunning, 18 different items, all cooked by the host in the morning, hoppers, pancakes, little omelets, jaffles.. it just keeps coming out! We had our own tuktuk so driving around, going out at night wasn't a big deal, and the owner can easily organise a tuktuk pickup as this guesthouse is set back into the jungle. A 5min walk from main road in the daylight but maybe not something to try in the dark. We would happily stay again!

Lovely host, amazing food, Wi-Fi worked, surrounded by nature. The room is basic (no hot water, no AC), but that didn't matter, as we loved how it felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. Good to know: at night you can't walk around in the nature, as there are wild elephants. So if you go to the restaurants you need to take a tuk tuk back.

I accidentally booked a room for three at Galaxy, but when we saw our room we decided to stay another night, it was perfect. We were up a tree, so we didn't need air conditioning and there were no mosquitoes. The attention to detail in the room was superb; including coloured towels for the swimming pool, and a smaller towel next to the bathroom sink. A small fridge in the room, and cushions on the chairs in the sit-out area. All in all, well done. And of course the food was great too 👍

The best homestay we had in Sri Lanka. The hosts are the nicest people. The lady made us feel so welcome. They would arrange scooter or loundry or safarii or anything you want. There are only two rooms so the whole stay felt like home. We had the lovely pool for ourselves. Room was big, pretty and clean. Perfect working AC and fun. Location is nice but I would suggest rent a scooter and have a freedom of exploring Sigyryja. However the are few restaurants in walking distance or host can cook for you some dishes as well. Don't hesitate to book it. You will love it.

EVERYTHING! This is the perfect little home stay with beautiful views of Lions rock. It’s quiet and peaceful and private. Nice room and delicious food that the owner prepares for you each morning and night. I felt at home when I was here! Do not hesitate to book this place!

Excellent full service hostel in a peaceful, rural area outside of Sigiriya town. The hostel is nicely designed and the staff are so helpful. They organize daily activities and can help with any transportation needs you have. The nightly dinner buffet is outstanding and well worth the money.

Luxembourg
This guesthouse was by far the best place we stayed throughout all of Sri Lanka. Rooms are brand new (built only in 2020), with modern bathroom and spacious bedroom with beautiful large king-size bed. Immaculately clean. Breakfasts on the terrace were pure Sri Lankan magic: exceptional Sri Lankan food and fresh fruit juices, lush garden complete with elephant foot prints, and cheeky monkeys who are just waiting for a chance to take a banana. The owners are incredibly kind: the hostess is a fabulous cook (we ate 2 traditional rice and curry dinners here, plus 2 breakfasts) and the host drove us for free to the entrance of Sigiriya and kindly helped us with our travel plans to Polonnawura and back to Galle. Even though Sri Lanka was going through a difficult time with nationwide power outages and increasing gas prices during the time we stayed, we felt truly cared for by the gentle and incredibly kind owners. Thank you!

Host took me the Rock to watch sunrise, it was so beautiful view ,on the way home fortunately I saw wild crocodile. After that I rode an elephant (5000LKR required). They served so delicious and local breakfast. He was the best host ever. If you stay here,your satisfaction with staying in Sigiriya will be greatly improved.

Also, the location is incredible, it is a 10 min walk to the entrance to the Lion Rock and a 5min walk to the entrance of Pidurangala. Those walks are so scenic, you can spot monkeys, butterflies, peacocks, it is perfect. The homestay is also walkable distance to a lovely restaurant called Nirwana. Breakfast was delicious and the view from the terrace of Lions Rock is unmatched. The homestay is located in a very quiet and peaceful location, yet very close to the center of Sigirya. The view in front of the room is very nice. The host family is very kind, welcoming and supportive. We had a problem with our tuktuk and they fixed it for us. The breakfast was amazing. We had a very lovely stay and we recommend the Panoramic Royal Villa to everyone visiting Sigirya!!

The family were so welcoming and probably one of the best homestays we stayed in around Sri Lanka. They were very engaging and friendly and went over an above to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was great- focused a lot around coconut because we mentioned we liked it;) Would definitely be back. Such a lovely host and family!
