Set in San Ignacio, 700 metres from Cahal Pech, Yellow Belly Backpackers offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a shared lounge. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a tour desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is situated 17 km from El Pilar.

Nice rooms with the A/C at night being very needed and useful. Small hostel which is good for a friendly social vibe but still very chilled for rest and relaxation. The wind you get on the top of the hill in the courtyard and upstairs common area was a surprising plus and much appreciated.

The hostel manager was a great help to us from check in until check out. He provided us with lots of information about local history and recommendations for our further travels into Guatemala. Javier showed us the most economical way to get to our next destination and helped us to avoid spending more than we needed to. Free water and great cooking facilities. Nice common area indoors and outdoors.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location and price. Hugo is a good man, I recommend this above most B&b’s, hostel etc. You get free freshwater to drink, showers are amazing and bed not bad.

Communal kitchen good for talking to the other guests. Use of the washing and drying machine. Great location if you don't have a car close to bus stop and market downtown. Very nice to have a safe.

Was very pleased with my stay here, I was expecting so much less. The staff were so helpful, especially Jessie. Best hostel breakfast I have had for a very long time. Only a few yards from the bus stop for bus to Belize City and onwards. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending YBB.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed at on this trip. The staff are great, the space is really nice, the bathrooms are huge which is nice. Beds are super comfy, you'll sit on it and be like oh yeah this is what a normal bed feels like. Breakfast is also the best breakfast I've had so far on this trip. I was sorta stuck here for 4 days due to poor planning and I'm glad it was at this hostel.

Great location on the edge of Downtown. I was only there one evening so can’t comment too much. They provided a bbq day out for guests so the hostel was super quiet and I had the place to myself. Private room was simple yet neat and tidy, shower was good.
